Sold with a 5.3L V8 matched to an 8-speed automatic or an optional 6.2L V8 with a 10-speed. And soon to come will be an in-line 6-cylinder diesel with a 10-speed. The tailgate is called MultiPro and it has 6 different configurations to let the owner load with ease or step in.

I guess everyone has their own preference. I just think that some people buy trucks for the wrong reason. I'd spend maybe $45,000 on a good used one instead. Let someone else pay for the depreciation.

I have that exact same 2019 GMC Denali 6.2l in the review. I have had it a week. The 6.2 with the 10 speed is an incredible combination. My truck came in at $86k with the optional exhaust upgrade which makes it sound like a beast.
With that said it has dash rattle, inner door card will have to be removed as something is not secured and it rattles bad also. Not acceptable at the price.
With that said, I did go to try out the 2019 Ram here in Winnipeg. The Rams are nice but funny story... when I went on a cold day to try out Rams the were all dead at the dealer. He told me they would have to use a booster pack to start them.
So I went in to a Limited and it took 15 minutes to boost. Once started the iPad like screen was dead. We couldn’t turn on seats or adjust heat and so on. The truck was essentially dead and the battery so run down it wouldn’t shift out of park.
Salesman told me that if they sit out on cold couple of weeks they die and lots of times the screen dies resulting in the truck needing a full reset.
So... I told them see ya later and went bought a Denali.
The Ram is selling sizzle but I think over time there’s no steak.

yeh no kidding. i'm so glad i passed on the Ram. I won't lie. Looks amazing inside. The issues i saw at the dealer are common and if you check out forums the rams have tons and tons of issues already. I'll take a reliable truck with a lesser interior over a mind blowing interior on a truck that leaves me stranded when i need it.@@JoshuaOverman

If you are in a colder climate region I would certainly think twice before buying a Ram. The situation at my local dealer wasn't isolated to one truck. It was like all the Rams. They run around with booster packs in the cold weather to get them going. So what I experienced in that one Ram wasn't uncommon.
I need to rely on my truck. I rather have a more basic interior that is functional than a crazy interior that leaves me calling AAA for assistance on cold mornings.@@rxonmymind8362

I have a 2001 GMC Yukon with leather that has just started to part along seems on the drivers side only. If I needed a truck, I'd have a very difficult time choosing.

One guy runs a financial firm and the other is a retired auto executive but he actually does a lot of woodwork at home so he actually uses his truck for what it's intended for. Guy in the adjacent neighborhood has a Raptor which is cooler than a Denali, but also less useful and less luxurious.

I just bought this exact model and year with 80km on it. I can say by far this truck is superior!! Trim, Towing, space, comfort, visibility, quality, power, looks so and so on.. The truck sits high like most 2500 do. When I drive and stop at a light, most other 1500s or a lot lower. The 10 speed transmission is butter smooth and the 6.2 will give you a kick like no other 1500 out there. Smokes the RAM easily.. With more towing and more power than the RAM. Very fast and very powerful engine. I've checked out so many reviews and comparisons and all you will ever here is Ram this and Ram that... Dodge has never been a reliable make and always had issues. They brought back the Hemi and everyone forgot the quality is subpar on everything else. Ram's strategy is to dazzle you with a large LCD and great interior no doubt.. One of the best for sure. But that's it!! Don't be fooled as this is their strategy to dazzle and fool and that the quality still sucks... Every manufacturer has issues, but Dodge is really bad for quality components and reliability. I have 3 friends with the Ram and nothing but issues.. Tranny failing off the lot, electrical components failing and so on. My point is, don't fall for all these reviews and do your own research for reliability. You will find the GMC and Chevy up there for longevity for sure. This 6.2 Denali is nothing short of AWESOME!!!

Then test drove Ford 150, the highest trim. It has very good interior, but the ride was still bumpy. I almost gave up on getting a pick up. Then thought of giving GMC sierra Denali a try.. the ride felt so much better, most close to an luxury SUV. Then tried, Chevy Silverrado HighCounrty.. nope ! Denali it is .. Very good review...thank you. GM is putting a lot of effort into their lineup of trucks but I give RAM the edge when it comes to the interiors. I feel that GM is still using some cheap quality components and materials in their "high end" trim levels which is a problem for me. If you're going to charge C$80k you'd better be using real wood trim, top grade leather and 1st rate swiches.etc. That said, you can't make a bad choice between Ford, GM and RAM...it will come down to personal preference. They all make very capable trucks.

But honestly GMC could've done alot better I don't even hate GMC but could have done alot better I mean cmon the previous gen looks better on the inside. My friends owns a single cab 2015 Z71 GMC and its beautiful inside out. The new gen is over kill on the exterior and lines are too sharp and angles everywhere. The back looks straight like isuzu Dmax But previous gen is elegant.
The interiors outline looks like the :( a sad face. The least they could do is a bigger screen and better looking trims and buttons.

@@MS7.7yes I agree, but then again some people may like having a smaller screen then the over kill ram screen, which then again, I know alot of people who hate the new interior and I for one also think they could have done better, but there are also people who appreciate the more simple approach that GM took to making the interior some people are sick of huge screens and all this crap, and a small screen is all they need and they focus more on practicality and storage, which the new GM trucks definiatly have, and that is especially true if you are a guy who needs it for work, as the rams huge screen and all it's high end materials could get ruined, but then again, some people may like that the ram has lots of luxery and such. And some may prefer the ford. It's all personal preference.
I for one do not think the new GM trucks interiors are terrible, but I do agree that in the market they are in they do need to step up. But I grew up in the early 2000s american vehicles where very simple interior wise, so I for one would not mind the new GM trucks interior at all, I'm fine with them and they have simplicity which is always refreshing to me. I'm not the one who needs a twelve inch tesla inspired screen with wood trim and leather where ever you touch. If my truck has a/c and a stereo and a big old V8 under the hood then I will be absolutly fine.

Thank you for the review. Looking at many reviews and having bought a 2019 Ram 1500 Longhorn, although I'm usually a GMC guy, I must say that I'm very happy with the new RAM as the interior is just superior to anything GMC or any other pickup truck manufacturer currently offers. The RAM is super luxurious with lots of leather and real wood applications, the panoramic sunroof, ... it just feels like a super luxury cruiser. And the RAM has the 5.7 L Hemi and with the 3.92 rear axle ratio excellent pickup and performance.
The new GMC Denali is kind of disappointing on the inside, seems like a lot of plastic around the dash, just doesn't seem luxurious. Exterior styling for the new GMC Sierra is nice, but it looks more like a facelift than a new truck vs. the RAM is all new and we get stares everywhere we go (which is unusual at first and I'm not so comfortable with that as I just want to enjoy my truck without attracting too much attention; I guess as more higher trim RAM's are on the road, that 'attention' will fade; but true the RAM is a beautiful truck on the exterior and just superior on the interior).
On the pricing too, even though a fully loaded RAM of the higher trim levels like the Longhorn and Limited can easily cost USD 65k - USD 70k, but with some incentives at the right dealership and comparing all the various offerings of the luxury pickup truck segment the RAM overall is just a better buy in my opinion.

The fact that truck cost anything over 55k is disgusting. That isn't luxury, at all. I wonder what their margins are on that truck for the amount of plastic, plastichrome and cheap leather there is. They bulked up the front WHICH LOST THEM FUEL ECONOMY FROM LAST GEN. That tailgate is cool but I wanna see how well it holds up after smashing into trailer hitches like 4 or 5 times since it doesn't clear them (cant use the step with a hitch on your truck). As a kid I always wanted a silverado growing up but GM dropped the ball so hard on the new sister trucks, I'm forced to go with a RAM, but RAM did so damn good with the 2019 1500 that I'm far from upset.
