Unfortunately I'm not doing the dash replacements anymore due to heavy work flow and my shop specializes in classic car restorations.. but feel free to give it a go, this step by step video will take you through the whole way.
I've installed dash cap over the broken dash cover, now I'm replacing the whole thing bcoz dash cap are not removable. They're good, but if you have to do any repairs under the cover you'll have to break them.
I have a question. Are the new factory pieces the same junk cracking plastic or are they improved that will last longer than a few years? At 1,300.00 bucks for the parts, they better not be the same junk.
I was wondering that myself. Being it's GM it's probably the same crap. I doubt you could find this information anywhere, you know top secret. I decided just to buy a Dashskin and install it.

What brand dash did you use and where did you get it
Great video
Thanks so much
Unfortunately this dash wasn't purchased new, it was off of a wrecked truck that had a good dash so we got it from that one. Thank you for your feedback
I have to do this to mine cuz it’s all broken also. If your that far into the dash already would it be a good idea to change the heater core???
Very detailed and yall did a fantastic job!!!
Thank you very much! Appreciate the good positive feedback. Hope it helped...
Hi Eddie. Would you be willing to do a 2012 Gmc? That’s a bit over my head and I see your located in south New Jersey. Thanks
Actually located out of Texas but unfortunately this was a dash from a wrecked truck that had a good dash and we installed it on this truck. I specialize in classic vehicles now.

Excellent video.Where are you located? Close to Houston I hope.Thank you,Larry.
Hello, actually located near Mcallen Tx.
Where do you find the replacement nowadays? I'm having a hard time finding one. 😬
Very sorry but im not sure they sell aftermarket replacements..this replacement dash was removed from a wrecked truck, so it wasn't new.
I got mine for 135 bucks complete. Took about two -3 hours
Sweet! I sure am glad this video helped.
Awesome - where are you located? I wouldn't mind hiring you to fix my 2011 Tahoe dash with the same problem.
Unfortunately I'm not doing the dash replacements anymore due to heavy work flow and my shop specializes in classic car restorations.. but feel free to give it a go, this step by step video will take you through the whole way.
Great video but where can I get a replacement dash?
Unfortunately i dont have a link for you but we got this dash off of a wrecked truck.
Nice job! Thanks for sharing.
I've installed dash cap over the broken dash cover, now I'm replacing the whole thing bcoz dash cap are not removable. They're good, but if you have to do any repairs under the cover you'll have to break them.
Job well done fellas...I thank you for sharing... God bless
You're very welcome 🙏 thank you for viewing and your support.
I decided just to buy a Dashskin and install it.
awesome video... it a lot of hassle just to replace the dash.... where did you purchase the oem dash?
Got it off another truck actually. But they are available for purchase on ebay I believe for around 200.
@@EddiesCustomsandRestorations orale, thanks I need to check it out..... are you guys from the RGV
