You should have millions of subscribers! This was awesome. And everything was just nice and comfortable to watch and listen to. Can't wait to see what you got in the future. Kindest regards from an aspiring woodworker from Norway. :)
Wow, thank you! I'm really glad you enjoyed this.
Absolutely beautiful piece. Superb work.
Thank you very much!
Waw 😮 thanks for the inspiration 🧡💯🪵
Thanks for watching!
Beautiful desk and great video, Mike! I feel your pain about the glue up...getting all sweaty. ha ha
Hahaha every single time. Thank you for watching!
Love this build.
Love the early music, too. It has a very strong Far Cry 5 vibe.
Thank you! We were trying to go for a Grand Theft Auto 3 vibe, though.
One of the best desks that I have ever seen... well done!
Well that's huge praise! Thank you
@@CoffeyCustomBuilds you mentioned 8 days... 14 days would still result in much praise.... one cannot rush attention to detail and making all of the "right" small decisions along the way!
Super solid build. Thanks for talking about the constraints of a live edge piece, and showing off your creativity to make something very unique and awesome despite (because of) those constraints. Keep up the great work!!
Happy to share. Thank you for watching!
Outstanding video. Desk is beautiful.
Thank you so much!
Very nice!!!!
Thank you brother!
Sic build, brother! That's a desk to be proud of. Unique. Clean. Thoughtful. Just excellent.
Thank you so much
kudos on an awesome piece of art! i watch a lot of similar channels, but this is really one of the nicest pieces i’ve seen - from its complexity to it’s simplicity. nice one Mike.
That's very kind. Thank you. And I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
Wow, beautiful piece and a great video to boot~! Well done~!
Thank you very much!
Awesome desk and video! I'm glad so many are starting to see how much you've been crushing it!
You're too kind man!
That was impressive! Great build. Your detailed explanation is greatly appreciated.
Happy to share!
Been looking for more woodworking channels lately and I finally think I found a quality one to add. Great build and great video. Keep it up man!
I'm so glad you like the channel!
Really great looking desk I love the brass standoffs
Thank you so much!
Just an amazing build and great video! Really enjoy the longer form content!
Thank you! I'm enjoying it too!
Absolutely beautiful build ❤️ that grain pop on the finish is exquisite
It really came to life!
That turned out beautiful Mike, absolutely love it. Amazing work mate 👍👏👏👊
Thank you sir 🙏🏼
That's a lovely desk you build there Mike. I've seen the progress on it on your insta stories and i was really looking foreward to seeing this build video. You knocked it out of the park with both the desk and the video.
Awesome work man, keep it up
Thank you so much!
The brass was definitely a great choice beautiful work!!!
Thank you 🙏🏼
Just love the look of this desk
Thank you sir!
Lots of tips and it looks amazing! Plus, I like the drawer fronts and your face front. Such an excellent video!
Trying to pack these viddies with tips!
Beautiful build Mike! Looks amazing!
Thank you brother!
That came out great. I really like the addition of the brass inlays and how you offset the desktop.
Thank you! Definitely my favorite design choice
Beautiful desk really enjoyed watching this!
Thank you so much! Glad to hear you liked it!
easily my favorite woodworking channel now that you've really gone in on the tube, love the vibes and dope shit!
That means so much! Thank you!
I love the look of highly figured grain, I think it's very under appreciated. From 1 pro to another, nice work. Just found you and subbed for good measure.
Really appreciate the sub. And salvaged wood is my passion. I hate seeing wood go to the landfill. Turning it into furniture that lives on is my goal.
@@CoffeyCustomBuilds I couldn't agree with you more I hate wasting wood. I live on Nantucket and work on a lot of older houses so I get to reclaim a good bit of barn board and late 1800's early 1900's lumber. Getting slabs here is tough though
That looks sweet! Great build!
I'm so happy with it!
BRRROOO 1) did you just use a drywall sander in the top?! 😅
2) totally gonna rip that power pass through design. I love it!
3) I love doing metal and wood together but have a hard time with it. Between all the dancing of two different materials and the problems that arise with that. There's NO ONE who's really covered that on UA-cam. Would love to see more in depth explanations on that
Festool is recommending the Planex 2 for wood sanding now.
I have the design file available for sale on my site! www.coffeycustombuilds.com/shop/p/cord-management-file-for-shaper-origin-or-cnc
That's a fantastic video topic!
Very Nice Nice to see Some Light color.
Yeah I love the maple!
Legit man!! Can’t wait to see more of your videos
Thanks man! Stoked to grow this.
Really well produced video and fantastic piece!! Another happy subscriber.
Thank you so much!
Brilliant build, totally love it👌
Awesome! Me Too! Thank you
amazing work!!!
Thank you! Cheers!
That's absolutely fantastic 👏
Thank you so much!
Killed it Mike. Turned out phenomenal.
Thank you so much!
WOW great job. You just got another subscriber. Nicely done. I love that desk. I want one lol.
Thank you so much!
Dang the finished product was way better than I expected! Now I want to make one!
Thanks! Have fun
Beautiful!!!
Thank you!
About beautiful it turned out amazing great work

Awesome work Mike
Thank you sir!
Nice desk. Nice shop. Got all my dream tools.
Thank you so much. I'm fortunate to do what I love.

Thoroughly enjoy you work & video
Thank you so much!
Beautiful job and great video!
Thank you my friend
Absolute stunner!
Thanks so much man!
Beautiful desk!! The cord organizer looked great and Ill have to check out your sponsor I'm going to make myself a somewhat similar desk and when I do I want to ball out on the hardware and fixtures.
You will not be disappointed by Mockett hardware. Well made. Well though out. Thank you for watching!
exquisite desk!
Thank you so much!
That was an awesome build!
Thank you!
Ohhhh I want to make a new desk sooo bad! This is beautiful
You gotta do it!
Hi from Australia,
Just discovered your channel.
Nice build and great video.
FYI I don't like bark or rocking either.
Subscribed and will watch more of your videos.

Man thank you so much!
Oh that's a stunner! 😍
You must be looking at a mirror.
@@CoffeyCustomBuilds Oh dang, you're right! I missed the whole video! I guess I'll watch it again, with no mirrors around.
Beautiful job!! looks great
Thank you so much!
@@CoffeyCustomBuilds I’m enjoying your videos and looking to add a CNC to my shop. Would like to see how you incorporate yours in your work flow.
Thank you
Greg
@@gsawoodworking969 I'm going to be doing several videos on that.
Half way into the video and enjoying so far. Will check out your other videos after and likely subscribe.
New woodworker question: why make the perimeter template for the outlets when you have a Shaper Origin?
I'd greatly appreciate your sub!
I wanted to show how easy it is to make a template and accomplish that task without a $2500+ tool.
beautiful desk, i personally would of put brass handles on the draw fronts
They would have been a great look! I was thinking of doing that and a bread power grommet as well as the disc in the cord management. Felt like too much.
Nice job 👍
Thank you brother!
That was absolutely work. 😄😄
It sure was
This is so cool!! On your festool tenons, do you do one side smallest setting and make the other side bigger so they fit in loose? Or do you just run the tenon cut out all the same widget
Correct. The leg had tight mortise and the top had loose.
Damn son! Nice job.
Thank you brother!
Love the desk!! Great video you have a very nice shop! Where did you get the drawer pulls and drop box from?
The pulls are from Doug Mockett as I said I'm the video. What drop box?
And thank you
8 days? That would have taken me 3 months. Nice work.
If we weren't filming I could have done it in 4!
Interested in how you made the drawer boxes on the CNC. I made some prototype 1/4, 1/4, 1/4 boxes but found that the setup time was too time consuming.
I use software called Mozaik. It's cabinetry software. Outside of furniture we also do custom cabinetry.
Thanks you ❤
You're welcome 😊
Does those kind slabs usable for someone that doesn't use epoxy?
You could inlay other pieces of wood.
A beaut!!
Thanks so much!
How do you not get tear out when cross cutting the plywood?
I use a sharp crosscut blade.
🔥
Thank you my friend!
Your the master
You're too kind
I think I missed what wood this is. It looks a lot like butternut.
It's big leaf maple. I can't believe I didn't mention that!
That desk is sexy af brother 👊👊
Thank you brother!
Nice. Not sure about the $20k evaluation though...
Largely I agree. But I can guarantee I could find a customer to pay that.
25 and a half minute build video and we get to see the finished product for a whole 4 seconds.
There's more of it on my Instagram page. Unfortunately when I spend too much time sharing the finished shots on YT audience dips out and it hurts my videos performance.
@@CoffeyCustomBuilds
No no, you’re supposed to tell me, “Well just pause the video, you idiot! Then you can look all you want.”
But noooo, you’re too nice to do that.
By the way, beautiful job.
Very shmick
What's that
@@CoffeyCustomBuilds it means smart and/or stylish
@@donnecheli2721 ahh. Thanks
@@CoffeyCustomBuilds I didn’t realise it was only Australian slang
@@donnecheli2721 no sweat!
Hi. I am not regular watcher, YT recomended this video to me. Are you open to constructive critism (about the desk)?
You're welcome to share your opinions
@@CoffeyCustomBuilds Okay, thanks. First, it is crafted nicely and you are good woodworker. My isues are mostly with some choices.
1) The ratio of width of the desk vs width of the cabinet is not pleasing to the eye. The cabinet is too big for the size of the table. I understand you had material size limits (you mentioned them at the start) and maybe the intended use (printer stand) didn’t left you with much choice.
2) The desk overhang over the cabinet could have been bigger. But again, maybe you need that size for printer.
3) Mixing brass and black hardware is not really looking good.
4) The cabinet stand (toekick) is not fitting choice at all. Toekick is screaming kitchen cabinet. It just does not belong to such high end piece like this. Explore legs and other choices (like few inches of the slab that you cut off at the one minute mark of the video maybe?)
5) My last point is very subjective so take it with grain of salt - it feels too boxy. It could benefit from some relief cuts and/or some angles. The cut could be on the cabinet behind the drawers faces to distance the drawers fronts from the cabinet. It would not have to be big, just like 5 milimeters. About the angles… those could be used in many places (like edge of desk) or in the design itself (angled cabinet and/or waterfall, edges of drawers and the cabinet). I think with some tweaking it would improve the look. Of course it would increase the difficulty of the build.
That’s it. Please, don’t be insulted by this, I wrote it in good faith and tried to be constructive. Good luck in future builds.
@@jasirek1732 all of your points are subjective. The size of the cab is for the size of the printer. The overhang is for the size of the printer. The toe kick is set back and makes the cabinet look like it's floating. Brass pulls looked tacky when I tried them.
try voice over, you talk too much in the video I want to see something done without you jumping every min to report on the process or some silly stuff keep the flow
You can do that in your videos
You talk too much
That's rich coming from you
😂😂. I just said that to add more comments. Sorry If you are angry😅
