Savannah cats don't come from the jungle, they're a man-made cross-breed. Their African Serval roots live in grasslands and ... you guess it, savannahs. Again, not jungle.
There are rescues out there that are always looking for loving homes.👍 Alot of shelters don't and won't take savannahs and they end up released or put down .😭 If you have a loving home for one there are several FB groups always posting savys needing people just like you.
Is this an F2 or F3? Looks a lot like my F2! I have an F1 and a F2, they are totally different (in personality and appearance, although like people, we're all different. The F1 is 6 and the F2 15. My F2, Chase, is incredibly smart, not very vocal (unless there's people food he wants!), very well trained, and almost dog like in personality. The F1, Runi, isn't as bright, will typically do what he wants, when he wants, is incredibly bonded to me (the F2 is the same with my GF), and probably the coolest pet I've owned in my 50 years on this planet... Runi has SOOOOO much personality! Chase (F2) looks very much like the Savannah in this video, but is taller and very thin, he always has been very thin, but will practically take your hand off to get to chicken! He doesn't sound ,much different than a domestic cat, just deeper in tone. Super well behaved and loving. Runi (F1) looks much more Serval like (black nose, huge ears, small head, short tail, muscular, and possibly the softest fur ever), is about the same height (they both can stand up and look over the kitchen counters), but is a far more powerful and a brute... He became the alfa cat before he was 3 months old! Runi doesn't make traditional domestic cat noises. I think I've heard him meow a couple of times, and he sounds like a little kitten when he does. BUT, the other noises that come out of him are VERY unique and it didn't take long to train us what they mean, lol! "Akk, akk", means "FU"! Loud AKK, AKK, means, "I SAID, FU!!!" Lol! I rough him up quite a bit (he likes it) and he always responds with an "akk akk" and typically looks like he's threatening to kick my but, but he never would. Try cutting his nails and growls of death come out of him, again not domestic cat like! Like "I'm 2 seconds away from sending you the hospital" noises. He will nip me lightly at that point (which typically will draw blood because his teeth are so sharp), so I have to get one claw at a time when he's sleeping and doesn't realize what's happening yet. Runi always has to be on my legs when he's sleeping. He's heavy so my legs get sore and me sleeping at night requires me waking up to move about 5 times a night. He routinely ambushes me from the top of an open door, or from behind by flying onto my shoulders when I'm not paying attention... like I said, a LOT of personality! They are amazing animals and I can't imagine not having them in our life's!
Runi is far more like this in every way, except the possessive food issues... ua-cam.com/video/Tc1fhQzRswU/v-deo.html BTW, the cat in this video is probably a pure bred serval, not a hybrid/savannah!
Honestly I wiuldnt be able to own one since the meowing makes me feel like Im doing something wrong and he aint happy and I gotta give him kisses immediately and its just makes you feel bad😭
