This is a little film about Freya the 6 year old Bengal cat, and Teego, an 11 week old kitten meeting for the first time.

My friend has a bengel cat he can't let it inside he tried already it tried killing his other cats so he built the best shelter he could on his front porch for it especially in Winter he keeps him real warm outside his Bengal will attack everything but people.

I have owned a Bengal since he was real young and hasn't tried attacking my other cats at all. He's a real gentle giant, just doesn't realise his own strength whilst playing and that's about it.
The real killer in me house is probably my Siamese who keeps on bringing dead rats into the house lmao

I love how the older kitties always try to pretend they dont love the babies, until they assert their dominance and then they let their true love be shown.
It's threefold, establishing boundaries and teaching the kitten to respect other cats, teaching the kitten to defend itself and hunt, and of course social bonding.
I like how animals take long pauses when they fight...

cats can be territorial and dont like sharing with new cats that move in.
Sometimes it takes a few weeks to get used to a new arrival sometimes they never get used to it.
1 cat i had, had a litter of kittens and started to attack them as soon as they were born as they were intruders in her home. To save their lives i put them in the bedroom and bottle fed them till they were old enough to rehome.
Randy cat was pregnant again before the last lot were even 6 weeks old and the vet couldnt nueter her till about 10 weeks after having a litter.
My Pegapuss was like that. Took down the bigger cat Pongo at every turn. They became best buddies. In the end Pongo was grooming him. Pegapuss had that kind of personality. Nothing got in his way.

Actually, 98% of cat licking other cat especially when taking some nap will end up in biting neck and fighting. But still that's a friendly act for them somehow
She seems like such a gentle cat. If she was not, she could have hurt the baby badly in a matter of seconds. So cute.

A murderous stare is a good thing considering actual attempted murder is the alternative :) Speaking from experience with introducing a male bengalcat to a male and female bengal. The female one never fully accepted the newcomer and attacked him after one month trying to kill him even if he was double her size. (he was saved by the other male cat that stopped here). We had to find him a new home for the newcomer where he live now with his sister instead. To bad as the 2 male bengals was best friends playing together.

The cat is very handsome, but the kitten is just too adorable. Their play seems rough, but they seem to both really enjoy it. Nicely narrated.

DJ_Drummer The Bengal could have easily killed the kitten at any point. Legend is right, the Bengal probably wasn't raised with siblings very much and was confused on what the kitten was trying to initiate.

Yeah there really is nothing to worry about here, there are some rare cases where an adult cat will be incredibly aggressive to a kitten but the majority of the time the adult knows that they are dealing with a baby. If you watch the way Freya interacts she gives a slight whack if he goes too far, she hisses when he comes near her to intimidate him and let him know she's boss. It looks like she bites his throat but she's not actually biting him. Its all just harmless play and if it got too rough Teego would be crying out and trying to get away
When you said that the Bengal was a handsome cat, I was like,'But isn't the Bengal cat a girl? I think calling her beautiful was more suitable' but then again, girls don't have to be called beautiful, they could be called handsome too I guess. XD

I've been using your videos as a guide for how to introduce my new kitten to my 11 year old bengal. I'm really glad I found your videos! Otherwise I might not have known that a bit of hissing and growling is ok. I waited a couple weeks instead of 3 days to introduce them, but so far so good!

Freya is a spitting image of a Bengal I had for 19 years, Katie Sue. She was such a sweetheart and we all miss her dearly. Watching this brought back a lot of fun memories. Bengals are awesome cats!!

@Zacharia Kaos Klauu Its very, VERY situational. As are most things when it comes to cat body language, hell, the hissing and growling while playing might just be old habits, or perhaps a form of practices. "Which of these sounds are most intimidating?" Kinda thing.
Have a brother and sister currently, sometimes when they would play, the girl would make these ungodly sounds as if she was in horrendous pain. I would clap my hands to startle them both and but a end to the play fighting, and as the boy walks over to me to see why I clapped, his sister would charge attack him from behind and the wrestling started again.
This happened time and time again, always the sister screaming, then charging her brother to play some more. I have NO idea why she made those sounds during play, never had a kitten do that, and she would also be the one to start the play fights.
If her brother was actually causing real pain, she wouldn't just turn around to play more with him. It was quite confusing!
She was more of a bully then him, but she was also the one screaming. Just, confusing.

Sometimes we do. One time a kid one year younger annoyed me on the bus, kept putting his finger in a hole on my backpack, and I kept telling him not to. He kept doing it to get a rise out of me and I ended up dislocating his thumb. I'd twisted it backwards trying to get him to stop. Fast forward a month and he and I were friends laughing about the incident.

He has no chill whatsoever and deff cannot take a hint, but if he hadn't been that way and just gave up, they never would've began playing or become friends, so its super cute that he was so clueless and innocently stupid, and she was very gentle when she could've easily torn him apart

Good example of gradual thawing. At first Freya was probably feeling the mental discomfort of being shown her own age through the age difference, but eventually realized she is being handed an ideal opportunity to feel young again, and it only took some exercise for shedding accumulated excess of comfort and an elder-authority mentality put up as defense of her unhappiness.

I love how when dogs meet kittens for the first time, they get really friendly and act all excited, but when a cat sees another cat for the first time, they're just like "GTFO" XD
Dogs are just more accepting animals, they are more open to new things and don't tend to be a "loner"
