You are spot on correct. I own 2 Savannah's, 1 F3 Male and 1 F3 Female. My Male is 1 year old and my Female is 7 months. To me Savannah's are the most amazing breed of cat to have. They are loyal, pranking, crazy and most of all Loving cats! They have the softest fur of any cat I've ever owned. They require a lot of attention and they want to be with us at all times. Don't have a Christmas Tree while they are young. they Love Christmas Trees and will climb them!. Yes, They Love Water and will join you in the shower. Savannahs are the Best! I will never own a different breed , I Love Them!
My Jessie is an f2. She’s very sweet but you have to get to know her on her terms. She’s really enjoyed the pandemic lockdown because mommy and daddy are both home nearly every day. She especially likes it that she’s allowed in that formerly mysterious locked room in the attic! My niece lost her job and living quarters, so we’ve made it into a studio apt.
My cat can get aggressive after a walk or too much stimuli. They are definitely different cats I can hold carry but he won't sit on our laps. He is 3 fetches, smart talks has eye contact when communicate
All SavannahCats very, very beautyful but the FLAT FOR SAVANANNAH CAT SOO....SMALL !!! WHAT IS WITH WASHINGTON KONVETION ABAUT ANIMALSRIGHT & PROTECTION ???
My two males are like night and day. Ones very affectionate and the other not so much. I guess it's like everything else. They are what they are, no two are alike and their temperament is likely what their upbringing allows it to be.
Ms. Stubbs your comment isn't correct. My two males where with a couple for a YEAR and they were kept in a tiny apartment. My wife and I got them from that couple off a craigslist ad and have had them for three months now. They absolutely love us and sleep with us every chance they get. They sit on our laps, chew our shoes and play on their cat towers, go for long walks on their harnesses, run enthusiastically throughout our yard and home. They greet guests and are thriving. I am not sure as to where you got your info. but it isn't right, and I would be careful spreading such disinformation. It may cause another pause when coming across a similar situation like ours.
The difference is the percentage of serval parentage. One of the bigger differences is , from what I have been told is that f5 savannahs can breed more successfully than others. I have two f5 males and they are a handful. They hunt outside with supervision and are extremely high energy. So if you don't have HOURS in your day to devote to them, I would suggest another breed.
This was a really nice video, although I think (I know that she is well knowledge), she is a bit hyperactive in the video. I'm a Savannah Cat owner myself.
I enjoyed your video. I can tell that you have done a lot of research in the breed. I own 2 SV cats myself and am a big advocate for the breed. I couldn't help but feel offended when you kept referring to them as wild. While, they do have a wild linage, they are not a "wild" cat. A SV is it's own breed. As SV pet lovers and owners, we need to advocate for the breed. There are a lot of misconceptions out there on SVs. There are organizations who are trying to make it illegal to own a SV. We need to spread the word that SV cats are a fun, energetic, full of antics, and loving breed. I agree they are not for everyone. It is similar to owning a dog. You have to devote daily time to play and/or go for walks. Just like with any dog or toddler, they will get into trouble if they are bored.
Well said, sadly there are still people out here who hate breeders and SV's for wrong reasons and are controlling to the public. God made these creatures and they are special!
Just wanted to confirm what I saw. So they do sometimes sell for as low as a thousand dollars. Most breeders want at least 5,000 minimum but came acrossed a breeder that sells them for a thousand and up...
SCAMS. If it's too good to be true, it's a scam. Not a single legit breeder sells their Savannahs for 1k. Or even 3. (F2 F1). These are very difficult to breed and very costly. Scams are out there. NEVER EVER wire transfer
@@jayjackson1972 a true F5 male for a 1000? Def, not a purebred or a scam!!!! F5 and above males are sterile. A F5 male is very pricey!!!! I would not trust any breeder charging 1000. You get what you pay for or, worse yet, get scammed out of your $
Is it possible I have two normal tabby cards and a jack Russell and two birds I'm thinking of getting a savannah cat would he get along with a jack Russell as he is the alpha animal of the house and also would they attack the birds
There is no answer to that question. EACH SAVANNAH has it's own personality and traits. NOW I will let you know that they spray more than our domestic short hair. Nothing escapes a good dousing by our two boys. NOTHING! They like to play rough too, claws and teeth. They aren't drawing blood but they clamp down and they grasp.
Bengals have rosette markings. The spots are lighter with a darker ring around them. They also have shorter legs and are more stocky. SV cats are long and tall. Ideally, a SV is slender. Those are not bengals.
Savannah cats should not be kept as a domestic cat, they need to be out in a big Sanctuary not an apartment or house. People just refuse to not follow rules.
Cats need to be walk around for sure. All cats is. they need to roam even if the area is small. For savannah/servals, it seems like they require slightly bigger houses/nearby park
She needs to get her information straight. Also get a larger area for those cats. That area isn’t big enough for one Savannah. Bad thing is someone that gets their hands on Savannah cats become an expert miss leading everyone.
When she called the kitten "a regular house cat" ....and the kitten attacks the Savannah like "the he'll I am" 😆
Great Video. Thank you
So beautiful
I have f3 savannah cat they are a wonderful breed of cat.I love her. They’re such an interactive animal.
We have Savannah's and they are a wonderful breed that are definitely more dog like in personalities.
You have provided good information for cats to have a joyful life thanks.❤️💕😻

Your friend's cute little cat that looks good.
Thank you for sharing the video.

Great content. Are these cars affectionate or are they mostly solitary?

I like the female
I have Savannah f5 kitten... so... it would be as big as yours f5?????? Wow... or it depends?
I'm shocked.
How much does your F2 weigh? Is he full grown ?
One thing I like to tell people is that Savannah Cats can never be rehomed. They are loyal to one person and only one home.

Actually a savanna is loyal to a whole family

Does it pee all over the house or use the liter box?
Schöne und süsse Katzen. Die Wohnung finde ich zu klein.

Beautiful cats. Maybe the wildest ones should stay well fed and not get too hungry.
Knows a lot about cats but still needs to be reminded…. No more cats!
The F5. Would that be smaller or bigger than an F2?
Smaller than the f2 the higher the number the less serial blood they have
What states can u have savannah without a permit?
I have a bengal, Its very hard to find a savanaha. , what kind of price do you have to pay to get one.
I've bought Savannah f5 kitten 3 months old for 1500 pounds (UK)

Yes, because if someone stole him, they'd surely keep the GPS collar on the cat. 😒
I have an F2 and yours doesn’t look like an F2 it looks too small. Mine is a male and weighs 26 lbs
That looks like a normal cat. I though they were supposed to be bigger and look more wild. Then cats look like bengal cats more than anything.
Bengals have rosette markings. The spots are lighter with a darker ring around them. They also have shorter legs and are more stocky. SV cats are long and tall. Ideally, a SV is slender. Those are not bengals.
