What a great video. Got a new account for S13 to one-trick Hanzo, placed 2100. After 20 hours I reached 3600. Once he clicks and you develop the correct habits & mindset... OHBOY.
I love the idea of brushing shoulders with top tier players in my favorite game, but sadly I don't have much to offer. My community doesn't enjoy Overwatch and I'm just another scrub on the ladder in low masters.

Hanzo is a beast once you've developed enough skill with him. I think he'd even be good if they removed Storm Bow. His main attack is just so powerful. The thing about Hanzo is the skill floor to be effective is quite high so it balances out in the sense that he's really not an easy hero to be good with.
@@sugoruyo If he dont have storm arrow, he will get hard counter by dive tanks.

Really great job with this guide. This is great advice and looks into the deeper concepts of how to use Gamesense to land more shots. I like how you specifically define what the enemy is doing that makes them predictable and even have a suggestion of how to manufacture scenarios where an enemy will respond a certain way. Also, great job at puting together so many clips that highlight the concepts you're trying to convey. An actual great guide!

I play on ps4, but played nothing but Hanzo and widow yesterday and surprisingly hit most headshots. These in game tips are very helpful

You know, when I had a good PC I was really good with Hanzo. And I didn't go over these steps, like you said you just feel it.

Summary of how to get good at hanzo:
1. Make sure you get lucky shots
2. Make sure every shot that is a accident you spam in match chat and refer to them as a noob
3. Make your sensitivity 100 at 12k dpi(increases your luck shot)
4. Steal all the gold medals
5. Watch match chat rage

A small thing I learned was body shot the unpredictable and headshot those you can track. That is actually really good to know, as it's much easier to hit a body shot on someone moving erratically
This dude makes it look so easy, I’m over here just firing and praying to whomever will make the shot land
Another tip that I say is depending on whoever you're going against at the moment you set your vertical aim to their characters height when on flat ground. That way flicks are easier and all you have to do is aim horizontally because you have it set to your opponents height. I also find it easier to aim with your body, less aiming with your actual sensitivity.

this was a great guide for practising my aim with hanzo, just wanted to say that u kinda only truly hit the headshot at 5:18 because u could see them through walls lol, no just because you know the map layout. anyways good guide! sry for the late response lmao :)

As hard as it is, I play on 230ms (connecting to EU from South Africa) so ping makes projectiles really fkn hard, in addition, I need to upgrade my rig some, because even on lowest graphics I'm lucky to make 30fps.
Imagine how hard the game is for me xD
90% luck, 10% positioning and spamming in right places.
You'd better play fps games with lan so at least your can play with your SA buddies

One thing you showed but didn't say was that you should also be able to use crosshair placement when double jumping. This means that you should know where you're gonna end up after the jump and place the crosshair accordingly before the jump.
dont click on the head, click around the head. if he stays still, still shoot around his head in case he moves. if he's point blank, he probably cant hit anything, so melee him to death, while dropping voice lines for good measure.

A lot of being able to hit headshots with hanzo is either them walking in a straight line or random spam, because if they're strafing, they have to walk into the shot, rather than you clicking their head.
That reticle is awesome! It tells you when the arrow is ready to shoot, what are the settings?

Is it better to track the target and go for the direct hit or try to lead the shot so they run into it.
The one thing these videos never seem to mention is how long it took them to acquire certain skill. Without this important detail the person willing to use this advice has no idea whether it takes weeks or several months of practice, making it easier to question the process when there doesn't seem to be much improvement after faithfully practicing for days or weeks. If the person had an understanding that this process takes 3-4 months, they're less likely to give up prematurely. And granted the rate of improvement is different for everyone, but some sort of general time-based guidelines are needed.
He cheats. It is that simple. He talks about low sensitivity because he is using a low sensitivity aimbot to make it look legit.
He does not even know how much time it takes because he never got it.
Practice flick aim really? You never flick. You just normally aim but fast and CONTROLLED.
3.47 at his low sensitivity looked weird. Aimbot.

Hanzo is just a spam and get lucky character like Junkrat except Hanzo can one shot you and do way more burst damage. His projectile is almost a hitscan and he can burst out 125 body shots every second while also having 6 storm arrows that do 70 per body and can headshot for twice that. He’s supposed to be a sniper yet you will almost always lose a close range duel with him? There’s never a bad time to have a Hanzo he doesn’t even take much skill anymore. He also doesn’t even have a counter
