    I love the first line of girl. It's like the emotion is pouring from lennon about someone he feels so hurt over.

    Rubber Soul was sung manually without the aid of studio doubling. Galeazzo shows us how talented the Beatles were to sing in this manner.

    You did a wonderful job of singing this beautiful, simple yet complicated song. This song is one of the reasons "Rubber Soul" is one of the greatest albums of all time.
    Please keep up the good work.

    Absolutely refreshing tutorials, ALL of them!!. I have had the pleasure of jamming with many professional Beatle tribute players in America who played with bands from The Fab 4, Liverpool Legends and American English as a guitarist for rehearsals but was never able to inquire on these wonderful harmonies they performed. Thank you for breaking them down with the finesse and feel of which they so rightfully deserve from one who fully appreciates the depth of soul from where they were born. Please continue to help others find and share the experience.

    Hi Galeazzo! Great work as always. As you know, Cynthia Lennon passed away recently, and in the news reports they say John never wrote a song for her. However, I seem to remember seeing an interview with her many years ago, where she says that Girl was about her.

    • @olliedylan1381

      That’s interesting, I heard that Girl was actually about Yoko, but then again I think Rubber Soul was released a few months before John and Yoko met so idk

      @@olliedylan1381 Late reply but yes, John and Yoko met 1966 and this song was from 1965. Maybe it's about Cynthia but it could also have been about another affair

    Hi, Galeazzo, I'm from Brazil. And I'm sharing at Facebook some of your videos and marking friends to know your nice job.
    I love Beatles, I just have gone to a Paul concert here in São Paulo this week, and I've decided to post In My Life in my Facebook to talk about the show. While I was looking for that video on facebook, I found your In My Life vocal video version. I was so amazed that I started immediately to watch a lot of your videos just to know better your job. At the end, I've posted Barbara Ann, lol... Anyway, today I've finally posted your In My Life version, recommending your job to some friends.
    Well, thank you a lot and... Bravo, Galeazzo! Bravo! :)

    That "leaning" that you speak of, otherwise known as a type of vocal phrasing and timing in relation to the tempo was a signature talent of Frank Sinatra. He learned a lot about vocal phrasing while working with Tommy Dorsey and later with Harry James. It's was very common of horn players to utilize that style and Sinatra did it better than anyone!!

      sfdrummer68 You are right essentially, but it's more the signature of "Swing" music (which Dorsey, Goodman, or any of the big bands played (I think it's most noticeable in songs played by Count Basie & orch. in the 40s and 50s)). Whether you are playing a "lead" instrument like piano or guitar, or a vocal, it involves just being ever so slightly behind what the rhythm would be. For example, if a note would be sung/played on the downbeat normally, giving it a swing style, the note would lag just slightly behind the downbeat.

    • @deathshead357
      @deathshead357 4 роки тому

      True....but there is more variation in notes in one small section of this one Beatles song than Frank used in his whole career.

    @mimibetinis No, but since I was very young I always sang over songs trying to figure out different vocals I think this had an importance. Curiously adding vocals on the Beatles songs ended up 99% of times in something that sounded worst than the original with a very very few exceptions

    @popwwy It's difficult to explain I hear them and I initially hear them as a total mess then I listen and listen and then they suddenly appear to me as ... sort of tubes... running through the mess of the arrangement .. like 3d ... it's difficult to explain... Suddenly I see them and I can follow them... like you were able to see the water tubes inside the walls...
