- Season 2 Ryu is out and Capcom just made Ryu into everyone's nightmare. This is only the first week since release so there's plenty more to explore. I'll be teaching you guys new combos, ways to set up your Denjin Charge, and also how to punish Recovery Drive Reversal optimally.

Haven't played Street Fighter since IV and I only played online here and there...I finally picked up SF6 a day or 2 ago, this will be my first serious attempt at grinding some ranked. Appreciate the videos as the combo trials felt like they were an okay start, but I still felt super limited in my startups so...here I am!

@@jmoz LTG take. SF6 handled most of the mechanics way better than SF4 and provided new things people can play around with. Why are SF players always whining? Just play the game and if you don't like it, play something else
@@jmoz Ahh...I remember when all the purests were complaining about sf4, saying that sf2 and 3rd strike were better. Cant wait for 5 years from now when you're complaining about how sf6 was better.
I have recently been getting back into sf and got sf6 so i appreciate these little tutorials to get me up to speed with the new games. I remember some great old sf4 stuff but these little tutorials help me settle in to the new stuff well. I appreciate the display of the buttons too. I always appreciated the levels of tech each character had, and when jumping back in relearning them thru practice seems super daunting, this makes it waaaay easy. A-plus vid!!
For Honda's ex headbutt, just use jump light kick and you'll be able to block the ex headbutt

bafael is a good channel that went over all the season 2 changes, each character gets a 3-5min video
Season 2 buffs to Ryu finally made it feel less like most of the better characters having diarrhea levels of freedom while Ryu feels cripplingly constipated. Funny part is that some of these "buffs" are things he used to be able to do in older games being reognized and brought back, like dp cancel into shin shoryuken which existed forever and never whiffed if you connected a dp.

@@fodolocraigo8426 if you can't recognize every single button of a character you play, learning combos will be useless for you. Learn the basics first. Especially with Ryu, fundamentals win over pointless combos that just burn your meter for no reason. He already has high raw damage. Making less mistakes and not doing combos that you might drop is better than trying to look cool and botch constantly.

I just wanna say my Ryu is in bronze. These two combos help me crush the modern Eds and Kens. Especially since I can replace the back heavy kick with a forward heavy punch and get more variety. Also no one seems to protect themselves against a drive rush overhead even after getting hit by it all match.

It wouldn't hurt to write down the combo notation in the description at least. Pausing and rewinding to write down combo notation when you're on day 1+ with a new char is not great

idk how people do this combos man, shit looks impossible, im pretty new at fighting games and for me to learn the most basic combo is being a challenge 🤣
hit training mode and just practice it. you'll fuck it yo hundreds of times but every 5 mins you'll make progress and it's actually quite fun. then when you hit the whole thing it'll feel great.
Break the combo down into smaller chunks so you can practice the precise part you're having trouble with more often

i went from wondering this too, ended up hitting training constantly and now i can do the crazy combos seamlessly its fun
IF THEY DO NOT MAKE RYU 10% FASTER IN HIS ALL...ASPECT....(RECOVERY-WALKSPEED-COMBO SPEED) IN THE GAME. HE WILL BE ONLY A...SLOWMOVING.. HEAVYHITER NO COMPETITIVE VIABLE USELESS CARACHTER.
