In my opinion, JB was one of the most gifted songwriters ever!!! His voice was transcendent!!! The first time I heard the album "Grace" I cried throughout almost the entire album!!!
I agree, I only started learning about him two months ago through finding Tim Buckley. I could not believe both of them were not with us anymore... they both sang with such emotion and conviction. I've never felt so much from any other artist or composer as with Jeff Buckley ....I feel like a part of me is lost ... why didn't I hear about this amazing person so talented until now?? I feel we are blessed to be able to listen to his music today. Rip Jeff . Rip Tim .. thank you for making your music for us to enjoy so much!
I had never had an opportunity to get into Jeff Buckley, mainly cuz I was a kid when he was around, but I heard Hallelujah, which we all know is epic, anyway, the next song that has really peaked my interest is So Real….I’m really digging that song.
@@amymaus8285 so real is my favourite on the album and if u play guitar I would 100 percent recommend learning it one of those song u play constantly even months after learning it great song and if u don't know how to play gutiar and u wanna learn keep it in mind for when your about a year or two in
My personal favorite singer of all time. Lover, you should’ve come over eats at me, the lyrics and emotion behind every note resonates with me so much. Sucks when most of ur favorite artists are long gone.
Nobody can say how great he could have been, he passed away too early. But For what little he experienced he touched so many people, so profoundly we are here, I am here, thinking of him. And I will always do.
“She’s a tear that will hang inside my soul forever.” Such a heart breaking moment on the song lover you should’ve come over it breaks me every damn time
I saw Jeff at the Cup a Joe cafe in Raleigh NC. Few months after "Grace" came out. To this day I can not adequately describe what I experienced. Incredible. Beautiful. Like nothing else I ever heard. Before or since.
Jeff was and always will be one of my favorite Singers, songwriters and guitarists . His talent will live on even though he has passed on. Love him so much!❤
I love Jeff Buckley, I listen to hallelujah often. Just sent the video to a friend that plays guitar and sings like an angel. Jake told me he used the sing hallelujah and will practice to perfect it again. He is a sidewalk busker and it is his dream to be a successful musician.
So Real is my favorite. "I Love ❤️ you, but I'm afraid to love you". I've seen his Dad on UA-cam performing a Concert....Handsome and you can see Jeff was raised in a very talented household. R.I.P - Gone far too soon to the Wolf River in Mississippi, but he really was SO REAL. Sang with Gospel Groups, and his early years in small Clubs and bars honed a DIAMOND.
the perfect way to describe his time here is like a shooting star bright and beautiful, burns twice as fast and gone the next… words are very powerful and he definitely struck a cord within the music world
I am going to track this music down ,he is beautiful physically and talent beyond a few words i am so sad he died young ,i love adore his voice my favorite 1997 so much happened to me in that year
I got into Jeff Buckley when Grace came out, just listened to the album today in fact, seeing this pop up is so sad,so many younger folk have never heard or know of him, if you read this comment please give Grace a listen and I promise you won't regret it 👍
Hallelujah is my favorite song of all time! Thanku for posting this! When I hear that song my soul resonates so deeply an his voice frequency captures my heart & beautiful things happen!
He breaks my heart every time I listen to him, but in such a beautiful way. He had such insane talent, I can't imagine what we would've gotten if he was still around.
Sketches for my sweetheart was produced by Tom Verlaine, so if he had lived to keep going I feel like that particular duo in the studio would’ve been crazy
In a parallel universe, he is in his 50s and had fully realized his potential for greatness as a singer-songwriter. How I wish that it happened here. RIP Jeff!
Lee Undewood guitarist who played with Tim Buckley wrote the synopsis for my book of poetry and song lyrics composed by me. Tim Buckley was Jeff Buckley's father
RIP. Listen to his cover of Cohen song hallelujah. The yearning at the end of the song.... hallelujah the first is bargaining tone. The second hallelujah yielding to God. The last "hallelujah" acceptance. I believe He came to know God, accepted Jesus as his Savior before the he died. His time here, tragically short, but eternally everlasting. You all can mock me, but me heart and mind feels this.
In my opinion, JB was one of the most gifted songwriters ever!!! His voice was transcendent!!!

Yeah I get it man, he was amazing. What a shame he died so young.

He was even better in concert.
Have you heard "Sketches For My Sweetheart The Drunk"?
I absolutely agree.
Last Goodbye is absolute perfection
Agreed. And “Lover You Should Have Come Over”
Indeed❤❤❤
My heart-break song when I was 17.
@@jamiewilliams8452Yes! That’s his greatest song!
'So Real ' is such a beautiful song

His gentle soul makes him incredibly attractive...

My favorite song is Last Goodbye too.
My personal favorite singer of all time. Lover, you should’ve come over eats at me, the lyrics and emotion behind every note resonates with me so much. Sucks when most of ur favorite artists are long gone.
It has the same effect on me. He was able to access descriptions of emotions that no one else has
His cover of Hallelujah is my favorite as well. Gives me chills.
Nobody can say how great he could have been, he passed away too early. But For what little he experienced he touched so many people, so profoundly we are here, I am here, thinking of him. And I will always do.
Yes, I just wish he was still here with us 😔
Jeff Buckley deserves a biopic movie about his life story and all he did when he was still alive
my heart hurts, rest in peace ❤
I know how you feel 😔
It's Jeff Buckley and Radiohead for me, as im sure you will agree?
“She’s a tear that will hang inside my soul forever.” Such a heart breaking moment on the song lover you should’ve come over it breaks me every damn time
😞😞👊👊👊🙏
Hallelujah is the greatest cover.. and Dream Brother was my personal favorite of his. The vocal elasticity he had… to be soft or gravelly. Talented.
so sad...(lover you should've come over is heart wrenching
The greatest of all time
I saw him in Melbourne Australia. An incredible musician
That whole album is epic. I know every lyric. Lol
Amazing "Grace" how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me. I once was lost, but now I'm found. Was blind, but now I see. RIP.
🙏🙏👊
Last goodbye is very special ♥️Amazing voice and artist.
What a voice, Last Goodbye and Hallelujah are my favs. RIP JB❤️

Oh wow, I'm super-jealous! I can't even imagine!
Grace is literally I think the greatest album of all time and he's the greatest singer. I wish he'd been alive to have so much more success!!
Jeff was and always will be one of my favorite Singers, songwriters and guitarists . His talent will live on even though he has passed on. Love him so much!❤
He would have created a lot of beautiful music if he lived longer 😔😔
Such a loss.. hallelujah as so much amotion..so gifted..I am gonna check out more of us music r.i.p Jeff🙏✝️🎸
His Father, Tim, is well worth checking out. Listening to Gordon Lightfoot led to Tim Buckley led to Jeff.
I've heard one song from Tim and I loved it!
Grace is a masterpiece 😢.
His Dad wrote one of the greatest songs of all time, Song To The Siren!
I don't know that one but I'm looking it up right now!
I just heard it wow, very emotional!
@@EdCollects Robert Plant said it's the best song ever written! Check out the covet of it by the band This Mortal Coil! It's awesome!

its so interesting how many references both his music and his fathers music had
A real loss to the music world. I'll never stop listening to his music ❤ I hope you're singing hallelujah up in heaven with your dad, Jeff. RIP.
Dream Brother is one of my favorites.
Lover, You Should Have Come Over is his greatest work.
So underrated. Such wonderful music. It only took one album to make him a legend. Any more, and he would’ve been HUGE. RIP, kind soul.
Jeff does have more albums. Look them up. He was working on a double Album when he passed away
Last Good Bye 😢😢😢was my favorite song. His voice had so much deep emotion very expressive, no one 💔 like Jeff Buckley, may he rest in heaven 🙏🏽
It's such a perfect song!
I read his story. He was a musical genius. I learned that he played to small audiences.
Halalujah is so touching.
i can't believe how soon he was gone. i have a feeling he was just getting stared
I feel the same way. Just imagine what he could have created...
I always have goosebumps listening to "You & I"

Jeff’s guitar work should be recognized as Stevie Ray’s vocals should be as well. Both talents each had, that flies under the radar.!
A genuine legend 😢
The most beautiful voice ever and the coolest guitarist

His version of Hallelujah is the best. No one else has ever come close.
He breaks my heart every time I listen to him, but in such a beautiful way. He had such insane talent, I can't imagine what we would've gotten if he was still around.
He haunts me - I’m a 47 year old man and his music was part of my coming of age
Sketches for my sweetheart was produced by Tom Verlaine, so if he had lived to keep going I feel like that particular duo in the studio would’ve been crazy
He has been for quite some time and I believe will forever be my favorite artist of all time.
I get it, he was amazing the short time he was here.

The live version of "Dream Brother" from "Mystery White Boy" is volcanic...
Being introduced to him was transformative.
😞🙏🙏🙏🙏👊
PJ Harvey has a hauntingly beautiful song about him called “Memphis”. Check it out if you haven’t heard it. They were friends.
American ICON.
The beautiful voice that didn’t get the chance to be
His death was so suspicious. I would like to hear an in depth document tray on that
