Just done your Modification already at all 3 cars and at both trains I have, really great thing. many pieces now also left for my basket. Thanks for that Input. I like it. Next thing is adding a seperate Engine Car, wich I have the basic already done. I must just order few pieces to make it nice to complete train. Really a cool train LEGO brought us here. By the way, I have also modify the connection from the cars with standart Magnets, but 1 plates lower as Standart trains has to fit it best inside. Its easy, there where the gray Original Connector plate is comes just the Magnet in. The only thing must be changed then is the black tiles at the corners are with 8 too long, used 6 long, thats perfectly fine as well. I have so many of these Magnet Connectors in my box, I wanted bit use them and gives me a bit flexibility also in shorten or extend the train as I want.
You could possible use some of the arced plates (don't know the name of it) to hold it on the top. it will also cover some of the white. But maybe then it wouldn't be wheelchair accesible anymore.
Cool mods. My set is still in it's box. I'm eventually going to make my train resemble the new 2025 Piccadilly line train, and I'm going to use the Powered Up motor. My other three trains are similar to the Victoria line trains with Power Functions motors. This set looks pretty shaky on the tracks. It might be because it's probably not heavy enough. Can't wait to see it installed in your Lego city.
Great video thanks! I'm really tempted to change the red 2x4's under the windows (one with the transport logo) to a 1x4 - which would allow extra seats, so there'd be 4 seats per car which feels more like a car? Or am I missing something - do you think this would work???
Thanks for your compliment! Actually I did something similar in this video to improve the interior. LEGO City Downtown Streetcar Mods: Magnetic Couplers & Improved Interior! ua-cam.com/video/s3bqLxXz8e4/v-deo.html

@@joefaracevideos Thanks for your compliments and support! I’m currently working on another review video for the LEGO City Car Transporter and should have it posted tomorrow. 😊
I would've probably put some reinforcements either making the side steps that lead to the seats larger (a 4×1 plate and a tile and a 2×1 tile on each side to secure them) but the belly of the tram is where i see the most potential for modding and stabilization. Either way I see why they went with this design for playing with it but at the same time why on a design that is supposed to be wheelchair accessible lol
Great simple mod for this tram/street car. But this shows how bad accessibility is in real life when a non wheelchair user builds a Lego Street car that should be accessible by wheelchair make them. Your mod is way better and even look way better. Both for standing minifigures and for wheelchair.
So now I just need the pick a brick wall to do 6x8 plates...Or any plates, just not the ones with corners missing or rounded edges. 6x4, 6x6, 6x8, 6x10, 6x12 any of them, I needs large plates, im all out...HELP!
These mods have changed my mind on this set, now I’m off to buy it
✌️

@@progwaver Thanks for your feedback and input on the magnetic connections! That sounds like a great improvement!
Placing figures down too hard will loosen the 6x8 plate. That’s probably why LEGO went with the other design.

It’s actually very secure! I can push down with a lot of force and the plate doesn’t loosen up.
The raised circle bit with the stud on the top is for the wheelchair

The platform reminds me of the same one I have for the LEGO City City Train.
Great mod, well done for getting these videos out so quickly

That an awesome mod good job green brick
Thanks!
Excellent mod.
Thanks!!
By the way, the extantable platform doesnt need to go back bc the train can still pass the platform without even touching the extented platform 😂
