  • Your watch keeps time- that's great. But how do we know it keeps good time? When your watch gets a service, it is regulated. To see how this works and what it does to your watch, follow Luca as he demonstrates regulation on a running watch.

    Quickly becoming one of my favorite playlists on UA-cam. Luca deserves a raise!
    If C&C has the time, could you guys answer a few questions for me?
    1. Is the Chronomaster essentially a smaller timegrapher? Or are there other functions it can do that the bulkier timegrapher I see on other places can't?
    2. What's the general price range on one of those? I want to be able to at least measure how my watch is doing before I take it in for adjustment and/or regulating.
    Cheers C&C!

      Hey thank you Jose, I will pass on your recommendation to my supervisors ;)
      More or less yes, this will be pretty similar to a Timegrapher. That being said, the Chronomaster is going to be significantly higher quality in terms of build, accuracy, settings etc. Also one of these guys will run you about $3000 give or take.

  • @bunyawikaisuksakul
    @bunyawikaisuksakul 3 роки тому

    Woww this is a straight answer to my life question. I have been wondered how reassemple the watch would help regulating it.
    Does anyone know whether the magnetism will be de-magnetized over time?

    • @heyimluca1275
      @heyimluca1275 3 роки тому +1

      It will diminish slightly over time but not very much, you would need to de-magnetize it using a special tool

    Actually I think they were asking Rolex to make a regulator. Kind of like the Patek 5235. Either way I'm just impressed!

    You say in the video that you need to know the lift angle to regulate the movement. Isn't the main reason for knowing the lift angle to get a correct reading of the amplitude? For regulating most common movements as I understand it the lift angle has no bearing on setting the rate.
