    Tip for anyone wondering - Dont put ironx products in the 180 bottle, the one with the metal thingy at the bottom. The ironx eats it up and it will eventually get destroyed. Happened to me with one of these bottles. Go for the regular "green" one for iron decontamination products. Also looks like their design has been slightly changed, the previous model was very uncomfortable to use, it cut into the space between the thumb and index finger. These look better.

    Going to have to pass. I've been buying clear graduated bottles from auto geek. It's got dilution ratios labeled right on the bottle, and it's clear so I know what's in them without having to label them. If you could integrate a clear bottle, built in dilution ratio graduations, and a solid sprayer, I think you will have a solid bottle system.

    • @Iceberg4k1
      @Iceberg4k1 5 років тому +4

      Exactly my thought. All the products I use are diluted so those graduations are key. I don't even care what unit of measure they are as long as I can figure out a ratio. Same thoughts on clear bottle as well. I know exactly what I am grabbing by what color the liquid is.

    If this is all just testing right now, why add a margin at all on the first batch? Especially when it could break after a day and you’re asking customers to just eat the cost if that happens.

    I just got my Pressol Bottles and Sprayer heads in the mail today. OH YEAH!!! These things are freakin' AWESOME! I love these bottles. I got three of the various sizes to try out and wasted no time in putting them into action. I actually like the straight up and down ones better than the bent body bottle, but I have to say, these bottles are STOUT, great build quality, heavy duty and thick plastic for the bottle. I would HIGHLY recommend these things. I also got one of the new IK sprayer bottles about a month ago to try out and I have to say, for me personally, I like the Pressol's better. The IK sprayer bottle base is good, but the Pressol Sprayer HEADS are far better, hands down. The new IK spray bottle is a lot larger too. I like the smaller size of the Pressol bottles. When I use a spray bottle, I don't want a huge bottle to lug around in my hand. To me, that's more awkward. Granted, sometimes you need more product, for an entire car for example, which is where I would just bump up to my IK pump sprayer. I also have a LOT of the KWAZAR bottles and the KWAZAR pump up sprayers which was the main bottles I have used for years but am switching to IK brand and these Pressol's. I definitely like the IK PUMP and FOAM sprayers better than KWAZAR Pump up's. Overall though, these PRESSOL spray bottles and heads so far are VERY impressive. I have been waiting several months for these to come back into stock and I will definitely be getting more of these. Thank you MATT and the Obsessed Garage Team for bringing these nice bottles into the USA.

    Received my sprayers. Not sure why I'm surprised because you have never recommend anything less than exceptional but these bottles are by far the best I have used. I did not realize they were dual action and sprayed on both squeeze and release which is a very nice feature. Bottle is exceptionally well made. I will test it with Carpro IronX and Meguiars Decon. I will send you the results later on. I do have a few thoughts that might help improve the design; I agree with you that a clear strip along the back to view contents and remaining amount in the bottle would significantly improve practicality of the bottle for detailing, a complete stainless steal sprayer (I know that will be costly but it ours be much more stout and isn't that what we do here lol), as I mentioned previously a metal tip for the sprayer might address any chemical degradation from using products such as Eraser. All in all, even if you changed nothing the bottle is superior to any other sprayer bottles I have used. Lastly and this is more a my personal taste but different colors might be nice. How about purple? Don't judge me! Lol

    The 180-degree action, as well as the dual-action make these nice replacements to the Kwazar bottles. Also, no hard plastic rings on the bottoms to contact the paint. I’ve had that happen after getting fatigued with the big Kwazars during sweeping spray motions.

    Amazing, I work in the plastics packaging industry and am very familiar with bottle/pump development. There are standard tests that can be done that only take a few weeks to few months and will allow you to understand the resistance of both the bottles and pumps to a range of chemicals. You are taking the lazy route and making you fans needlessly be guinea pigs.
    Also your dark, heavily pigmented colors will be much more prone to stress cracking - you should have just went natural/translucent (no color) in the bottles if you were interested in best longevity.
    I also am shocked at your attitude towards customer service as stated in this video is awful - if you sell something, you need to make sure it works. If you want to crowd source this data, then send free samples to a number of people to evaluate with different products. Otherwise, do proper product development on your own dime!

      @@ObsessedGarage well, there are plenty of suckers/fanboys out there, it seems. That still doesn't change the fact the you are knowingly selling a potentially defective product for profit that you do not appear to have done any serious (and rather easy) product development on. It's not like this is cutting edge technology where early adopters are expecting to take risk - it's well-established tech with well-established development processes and compatibility tests that can ID the issues you already showed in your launch video so they can be addressed with material/design adjustments. It's really not that hard or expensive. To me, that's just not good business and I've lost respect for what you are doing here.

    Matt, just a thought on the Car Pro Eraser issue. CPE has some chemical(s) designed to dissolve oil particles, a lot of polymers/plastics have petroleum in them, in this case it may only be in the tip, there could be 3 or 4 different polymers in the construction of the sprayer and bottle. It might worth shooting Pressol an email and asking about that scenario. Also check to see if a recycle code is molded in, you can decifer that and see what the polymer is, and if it contains petroleum.
    BTW I like the 750 ml size in Red opaque, I like to have an idea of how much product I'm working with, though with time you'll get a feel for the weight ( I typically run 24 ouncers, that are of a more flat geometry than round, they just feel good in my hand, and not too heavy when full, I'm trying to get 4 finger triggers to reduce fatigue - not easy to come by), I'm a huge fan if the 180° sprayer, and that weight on the end of the tube is legit, I have a collection of bottles and sprayers that I Frankenstein. The custodians in my building at work know to save their empty bottles for me. Being captain obvious translucent is the way to go, hopefully you'll eventually be able to get Pressol to add ml/oz marking for dilution ratios. Scratch the ounce markings, their German they won't budge. Just remind them what system landed us on the moon; it wasn't until circa 1990 that NASA went all metric.

    I've had a lot of the same trouble with Nanoskin Glide dripping out of both Kwazar and some cheapy sprayers. A product I've given-up almost completely on spraying with trigger sprayers for now is 303 Fabric Guard--I just put it in a pressure sprayer (Kwazar Venus) now because it dripped like crazy out of trigger sprayers. My arsenal is currently a mix of Opus sprayers (easily my favorite cheap trigger sprayer) and some chem-resistant Tolco sprayers for certain chemicals. I'll be watching the Pressol developments closely.

    I know it would cost more but it might be worth considering a stainless steal tipped sprayer? You could also contract a manufacturer to make just the tip to spec and sell those separately or as an add on (OG sprayer tips-assuming they are standardized). If the sprayer is as good as you say (I have no reason to doubt you based on the products I have already received from you) then I would be willing to pay for stainless steal tipped bottles or even a full metal head. Let me know what you think and if I can help in anyway? I am looking forward to testing the bottles when they arrive.

      I haven't noticed that from companies, but I'm sure it happens. I think what happens more often is companies don't sit down and really ask themselves what the true cost of delivering a product is. If I buy something for $10 and sell if $15, that $5 seem like a lot. Then a business owner would look at that profit and say, if I sell 100, I make $500. But...if I sell 200 at 15% off I make $700. That's $200 more. What we often don't factor in is the cost of delivering double the product at 30% less profit. You'll need more employees, more space to store it. Now, you may get volume discounts on transactions costs, but doesn't come close to offsetting the cost and pain of delivering double the product at 30% lower profit. At the end of the day doing this discounting thing really only works if you did mark the product up above for what it should actually sold. It's an interesting thing to study in the real world as I'm living it.

    Nice looking sprayers! Note to the video: The black and red sprayers come with FKM seals (FPM = international abbreviation). Avoid alkalis to keep them performing. (Right?) The yellow ones seem to come with FLM seals. I'm not familiar with FLM. Could it be something like EPDM and therefore good with alkalis? The white and blue ones come with NBR (nitrile?) seals. What I'm trying to say, and obviously totally optional: Choose according to tech, not just color. =)

    • @robert5c
      @robert5c 5 років тому +1

      Agreed, and isopropyl alcohol which is the main ingredient other then water in eraser is better suited for EPDM then for FKM.
      Nitrile, EPDM or Neoprene is all more alcohol safe the FKM.
      Looking at Pressol catalog though, both industrial and garden have FKM seals though garden has a different plastic in the pump and PP adjusting nut (is that mean the tip)
      Whats strange is industrial is supposed to be HDPE adjusting nut so if that's the tip it should have been fine as would be PP.
      Ultimately household blue or transparent bottle with its NBR seal might be required for eraser assuming that its NBR seal would mean its tip is also resistant to chemicals NBR is good for such as alcohol.

      Look we all watch his videos because were at least some what interested in having something that is perfection / close to it. Not just something that just kind of works. So for all the time we use spray bottles and wish we had the perfect spray bottle. Well the wish is in the making of coming true! Will the bottles we are about to order be perfect hell no! He discussed this in the video. So by us not being a cheap ass because of 13 dollar shipping. If we all buy at least a few bottles and give positive and helpful feed back ""not every one bitching and complaining"" we will then be that much closer to actually having a perfect spray bottle. So what im getting at is if your not interested to go on this spray bottle journey with Matt now ill be god damned if people that did not purchase bottles now should not be able to reap the benefits of the future product we are all coming together to help create. Matt is about to have a company make us our perfect bottles we have been looking for this whole time this is for all the obsessed people out there so dont look at it as a shipment cost look at is as a "go fund my perfect bottle project" thanks Matt for all the work you do for all of us out here!

      If you use a little logic here and you bought a spray bottle for $15 and a $400 paint depth gauge that could fit in the same box and add little to no weight. Shipping would be the same $40. A box is a box that has to travel 10,000 miles.

    I would just say this: good thing this is a free market. Matt’s not got your arm twisted behind your back, forcing you to buy these or pay some crazy premium. He’s asking you to pay a fair price for an imported good and pay him for the trouble of importing them. In fact, I’d wager that anyone who is complaining about the idea of the bottle project over the internet, he probably doesn’t even want you to buy these (except to clear some floor space). Trust the process and understand that is just that - a process. This is part of being obsessed.

I knew immediately they were awesome the second I had one in my hand. My question is whether or not they will last a long time in the use of other people hands and with chemicals that I don't use. I just found out Eraser is a problem, but everything else has been good. Every time I send a product out into the market, people find things that I hadn't encountered. It's part of the process of making them better. These aren't some prototype bottle. They have been around for quite some time just not in the US.
