I usually experiment with inversions by moving individual notes octave up or down when I have the chord I like.

great video BUT ,, but the shorter chords between `inversions or completely new chords ?
Thanks! The short chords in between the two chords I was referring to in the inversions (and rootless ex) are considered passing chords. These are a little more advanced but could definitely do a video about it in the future!
