    In analysis at 20:30 Bd3 forces the queen back to say c6, c7 is bad. Then bf4, with multiple threats: Qh8+ Nd4 and c4 in some lines.

    4:50 you could have sacrificed the rook by Rg7 and King takes then black bishop H6 check and King goes back now Qg5 check and Kh8 now Qg7 checkmate ,
    if the oppenent see through this then he got open pawn structure on his castled side

    (@14:03) - After white played Kh1, black has Bc4. Of course, the knight can’t take because of the back-rank mate, and white’s knight is pinned down to protecting f1. A small amount of counterplay for black, I guess.

    Who am I to talk but I don't think that your mating net kingside was sufficiently developed. I would have used a tactic you have often used before to sac the dark square bishop and split the king's defense open. When I am committed to an attack I commit! And after you have lined the rook up on the b file it would have been a pin. Linked knights are always a problem and it can be worth a bishop-knight trade to break the partnership?

    Being an intermediate is strange because I saw f4 but would've absolutely lost this game. Blocking the queen trade and giving up the f pawn looked good to me since you had the bishop pair and black had no black bishop so opening up the center really looked like it just locked all of blacks minor pieces in the center of the board with your rooks coming in to support with tempo. I say that I saw that but if I were to see it in an actual game I'd probably play it and then make a mistake, lose tempo, then lose the game because of not capitalizing properly. Oh the joy of mediocrity.

      I think it's because he's low on time, so didn't want to leave that possibility open where he blunders back rank mate by quickly moving the rook away.

    • @enderyu
      @enderyu 20 днів тому +3

      The rook is there now, but then it would get stuck there babysitting the back rank. Giving your king a luft is a good idea when the game slows down, otherwise you are gonna allow your opponent lots of tactical ideas throughout the whole game
