Love those instructive 10mn games with engine feedback, hope you make more of them!
Idk about everybody else but I could watch a video in this style like everyday. Even if the game wasn’t crazy good I’m sure there will be a few instructive moments and I like hearing Nelson’s thought process
I love this type of video, it helps me know what a master thinks during their games. Love to see more
Me too
Usually it’s only the puzzle videos that takes my attention on this channel but I honestly like these videos a lot as well👏
18:10 This one interested me. The computer felt Ba3 was a mistake, and Black's follow-up of Rb8 was a missed win. I wonder if Black's best follow-up was something like Bh6 there.
I confess I would have gone for the R->B1 move but as you say, its hard to see things when there is time pressure.
Really loving these instructive rapid games Nelson. One suggestion, at the end when you're reviewing the game, could we get the eval bar on the side?
Thanks for all the awesome and instructive videos Nelson. Take care and God bless.
I love these videos when u just play and explain ur thoughs and what u thinking and why u wanna play that move thank u so much
Plz fo mote of these
Please please please make more of these 10 min instructive games!!
Superb instructive videos with indepth analysis: this is how I will describe Nelson😊. Eager to watch your video for the forthcoming Father's Day. Really enjoyed the one you did last year. Thumbs up 😊
this is great not only how you play but the explanations of your decisions.
I always learn the most from your chess videos (like vs the other YT channels I watch).
But hearing you talk through it all, I think I can see the next level for my understanding!
Please make more like these, maybe I can learn to think of "what would ChessVibes say?"
(yea... it felt weird writing ur name like I know you.. despite feeling like I know you.. geese 🤷♂ )
I really liked this format of video excellent work
Nice game! At 17:17 the correct defence for black was Kb7 (opposition). The basic winning idea for white is at 17:00 to sacrifice a pawn with f5 (instead of Kd3) which opens the path for the king to infiltrate via f4, g5 and h6.
17:49 *plays a game with 5 great moves and a brilliancy*
Nelson: OK, pretty well played
This was great! It was fun to follow along and interesting to boot.
Very instructive.
Good lord the speed of the moves at the end is ludicrous...
Great game, Nelson. I really like the comments. A fellow master and I would play 15 minute games to prep for tournaments. The quality of the games were surprisingly high. In your game, after your queen sacrifice (that I liked), I might not have taken the bishop on f8. Instead, I would have played Nb3, denying Black any counterplay stemming from c5. In any event--another great job by you. Keep up the great work. You are doing a fabulous service to the chess community.
Brilliant Nelsi‼️
Positional queen sacrifice? So cool
Now let's rename both sides as Bobby Fischer man and new Peter patzer (like new Martin)
Hi Nelson, I wanted to ask a question. I’ve done some of Gotham’s courses and they’ve helped my chess a lot. I’m still gaining rating from 800 to 1200 in about 2 months. But my biggest problem with them are he never explains the “why” or the thought process behind why he recognizes a concept will work. In the drills it often will say something like “can you spot a good sacrifice?” In the middle of a line. How would I recognize that it’s possible in a real game? Know what I mean?
So I guess I’m asking if you go over the thought processes in your course. Like when something is pointed out I can find it, but before that my brain doesn’t recognize the possibility yet.
Brilliant move and brilliant video!
Very nice match!
Love your videos, keep up the good work! You helped me get up to 1200 in rapid on Lichess from sub 700. Also, I can't believe I got notified 1 minute after the video was posted!
An opening like the rossolimo: 1/e4 c5 2/Nc3 Nc6 and then 3/Bb5!?.
The idear behind this move order, is to have the ability to play f4 like a "grand prix".
3/Bb5 g6 4/Bxc6 b or dxc6 5/f4, with an interesting position because black must play c4 wich is not a comun idear.
( sorry if I make some mistake, I'm alredy French)
I have a challenge for you. Play 3 games at once. One against Martin, one against an intermediate bot, one against an advanced bot. Here's the catch. You must make the same play on all 3 boards
Brilliant!!
did he just transpose a dragon sicilian to a ruy lopez
Run from it
Dread from it
Ruy Lopez theory arrives all the same
Play chess against Martin bur every 3 moves you blunder. That means you can make 3moves than a blunder
Nice queen sac
i just played a game that my opponent played brilliant move because it forces a fork. even though i am rated 667 i still won even though i hung my queen because he didn't see it and hung his own queen.
Black colour bishop trade was bad, you were supposed not to trade your active black colour bishop with his non active bishop. 😊
Are brilliant moves rare?
17:17 big mistake from black Kb7!
Black got draw playing Kb7! Kc5 Kc7
@@mythbusters866 Correct!
16:15 Qb4 is better (Programs)
Qb4 R1a7 Qe1+ Kh2 Qxf2 Rxf7+ Qxf7 Rxf7 Kxf7
Today I got my first brilliant move ❤😊
3:00 Computers programs wants to play a4
I had the same thought, I was surprised he didn't even consider it.
I am meaning a4 to pawn a2-a4
Computers say a2-a4 is verry strong move
a4! Qxc3?
Bd2! Qb2
Rb1 Qa2
Qc1 a6
Rb2 Qa3
Re3 black lose to Queen
Or
a4! Qxc3?
Bd2! Qb2
Rb1 Qa3
Re3 Qa2
Ra1 black lose to Queen
...Qb3
Hi nelson :)
Guys I got my 2nd brilliant move

Nice educational chess breakdown! Thanks! ♟️
17:07 g3?!
White can win if playing Kc3 Kd3 and now attack move g4!
Ke7 draws. The basic winning idea for white is at 17:00 to sacrifice a pawn with f5 (instead of Kd3) which opens the path for the king to infiltrate via f4, g5 and h6.
Personally I would prefer to skip the game and go straight to analysis.
❤
13:07 Reb1! Then if: 1.) ... Bf8 2.) Rb7 Qxb7 3.) axb7 Rxa1+ 4.) Nf1, black can't stop the pawn from queening. Rb1 met by Bb4
