Some became remorseless after losing everything, some developed a taste for killing and couldn't quench their thirst for battle. Sandor clegane. Killed the zombie mountain. No one else could have killed him. Only because he was ready to die for it. Came back from near death to do it. The greatest fighter of them all. Might have got beaten by a woman but came back to carry on his mission.

90% of comments: you did not mention this person that is not alive. 10%: Arya is the best. (Actually, she was always losing to the waif... Then suddenly she somehow became an unstoppable beast out of nowhere? Poor writing just killed this show).
You missed the point Arya figured out who that she was and took what she had learned for all her teachers in that moment and that was more than the waif could deal with water dance plus assassin training plus the git from the hound the waif only expected what she had had shown Arya. And yes the TV show was not good at showing the why of that fights result
The best fighter in got was the red viper. He only lost because he wanted the mountian to confess. Even the writer said the red viper was the most lethal person in got other than jaqen h'ghar. Yes jaqen was an assassin, he was trained in all form of combat. But this list is completely wrong. The greatest fighters still alive would be 1. Jon snow, 2. Daario Naharis because he is undefeated, 3. Arya Stark, 4. Ser Bronn of the blackwater, 5. Ser Brienne of tarth, 6. Tormund Giantsbane, 7. Grey worm. Grey worm comes in last because he only ever fought with a spear and a dagger. He never fought hand to hand. And when he was put to the test, he damn near died and was in the bed for god knows how long.
You rate the red viper number 1 but didn't he also use just a spear? Same as grey worm. Brienne beat many warriors who lived or died in GOT. Arya beat her. I would rate her number 1.
@@FloydThePink yes your right, but that is in the show. The books however paint a very different story. The red viper was an expert in all weapons. Plus in the show he is still number one. Because of his technique, his acrobatics, etc, etc. He only lost to the mountain because he took his eyes off of him and looked at his wife. If he hadn't been so he'll bent on getting him to confess, he would've beat the mountain with ease. Arya was a great fighter yes. But Jon show was the best swordsman in the entire show. But not the best hand to hand. My list still stands correct. And like I said in my comment, even the writer said the red viper was the best. Again, your only looking at the show and not the books.
I think Bronn would be in my number 1 spot as the better fighter from all others. Jon would be second, Jamie 3rd, the hound 4, tormund 5 with Brianne. I wouldn’t even consider the Worm.

@@jesuseinstein4706 The title say's fighters not assassins. Remember in the battle in the castle she had to be carried out by the mountain against the dead because her skill and her tiny size was useless.
My best and most touching fight scene was that of Jon Snow and the soldiers of light against the army of the dead when they went to try and grab one of them
People think Jon Snow is average because thats what he is in the books and early show. By shows end hes become a legend who has consistently improved and has more "feats" than anyone
We have to not forget that Brienne of Tarth got the hound when he was injured and the cut in his shoulder was rotten, so technically he was kinda poisoned when they fought, I believe in normal state he could win, because he is not only one of the greatest swordmen but he is also ruthless, who win over Beric Dondarrion + the mountain as an equal opponent to such a freak like the mountain
My rant about Ser Vardes aside, this list is prejudice towards John Snow, ending with him killing a white walker, and yet it was Arya who killed the Nights King and shes put at numver 4. Brienne was put and number 3 yet in the training dual with Arya they both killed eachother with their finishing blow, so they should have been tied for first place, with John Snow in second.
So I guess she stood no chance against Brienne either she smoked her. Arya is prolly the deadliest person on GOT easily got to agree she beats Jon Snow

Y’all forget about Arthur Dwayne with those two swords in brans vision/flashback he went crazy asf and was known as the best swordsman in his day
Uhm, the title says the greatest swordsman that are alive.
@@vadlamanikrishnachaitanya2539 lot of them are not alive now
@@alanrickett2537 I think its more centered around who was actually part of the show, and not just a couple scenes in a single series.
@@alanrickett2537like who ? When the show ends all 7 mentioned are still alive even honorable mention Yara.
@fadwen88 no it says alive
I think "The Hound "deserved a spot on the list as I believe that he earned it. Also "The Viper" as it wasn't due to having a lack of fighting skills that got him killed, it was his ego ( The Mountain ) . Arya Stark deserves a mention as well (imo)
Good vid : )
Karl Tanner beat jon until he was literally backstabbed
Yeah that was early on when Jon was still learning how to fight.
Some became remorseless after losing everything, some developed a taste for killing and couldn't quench their thirst for battle. Others had a reason to fight with fates of many in their hands and too many reasons not to fail. But they all had one thing in common, no fear of death and not caring if they lived or died.
Sandor clegane. Killed the zombie mountain. No one else could have killed him. Only because he was ready to die for it. Came back from near death to do it. The greatest fighter of them all. Might have got beaten by a woman but came back to carry on his mission.
Um yup that was Sandor's mission from the jump.
Because he had to die to win. Like i said. Because nobody else would have won aganst the zombie mountain.
@@royjeffery6965 right but this list was specifically fighters that are still alive when the series ended. The hound DIED so no matter how good he is, he cant be on a list of characters who LIVED.
No longer alive though.
Might have gotten beaten by *another warrior* . Brienne may be a woman, but she's also a great warrior. The Hound is one of many she beated.
What about Jaqen h'ghar what Nr is he on ???
I think he is not on the list because he is probably dead, Jaqen is only a face of many others so he can be anyone or how he calls himself: No One
I personally wouldn't count the ones of The house of White and Black to this list
*Don't you know Arya is the greatest fighter in all the kingdoms? We gave her the killing of the Night King, revenge for the Red Wedding, why not just have everything at this point...?*
The hound have some punchlines that funny but hurts 😂
Jon snow was the best character of Game of thrones..
He was the actual deserving candidate for Iron throne..
❤❤
Jon was the most underrated fighter ever!! He was the best cuz of his learning skills.. he learned to fight with honour later learns to fight dirty! His size doesnt make him look dangerous but he literally fought against every living being on planet, makes him the best!!
the day after .. hold the door .. was in a telstra building and everyone I mean EVERYONE .. was doing hold the door at the lifts
Nice soundtrack, i wonder who win between the beast and the kurgan
"You will NOT provoke me to anger" Dumbledore said calmly
This list is based on skill in war along with individual duels(fair or not) in show and books dead or alive
1)arthur dayne
2)daemon blackfyre
3)robert boratheon
4)bariston selmy
5)kal drogo
6)aemon dragonknight
7)jaime lanister
8)the hound
9)cregan stark
10)oberyn martel
Honorable mention to garlan tyrell as its ststed that he’s far better than his brother in combat
In the book all prime Barriston selmy is no.2 no doubt, it is said even Sir Arthur would need dawn to defeat Barriston
The list is based on people who aren’t dead
90% of comments: you did not mention this person that is not alive.
10%: Arya is the best.
(Actually, she was always losing to the waif... Then suddenly she somehow became an unstoppable beast out of nowhere? Poor writing just killed this show).
You missed the point Arya figured out who that she was and took what she had learned for all her teachers in that moment and that was more than the waif could deal with water dance plus assassin training plus the git from the hound the waif only expected what she had had shown Arya.
And yes the TV show was not good at showing the why of that fights result
@@alanrickett2537 Great someone gets it. At the end of the show Arya is pretty much unstoppable, even death himself could not stand against her.
I never noticed but Jon gets a Mormont shield. That's so fitting
Let’s get to the top 2 if they were alive…. Ser Arthur Dayne, Ser Barristan Selmy.
Yuuuuuppp
1st would be robert baratheon
Both would have lost vs the Nightking.
What about The Hound, Barristan Selmy, Khal Drogo, Jorah Mormont, Oberyn Martel, The Mountain, and Jaime Lannister ??
I agree with ur rating really well, but I think 🤔 Ser Brienne of tarth comes in before Ser Bronn of blackwater bay.
Ser Baristan Selmy was a superb warrior….The Naked Knight following his disrobing in the throne room!
@@FloydThePink Arya did not beat her, Brienne had opportunities to kill her had it been a real fight, that wouldn't be the case the other way around.
I think Bronn would be in my number 1 spot as the better fighter from all others.
Jon would be second, Jamie 3rd, the hound 4, tormund 5 with Brianne. I wouldn’t even consider the Worm.
awesome Vid!
Brienne all the way though. She hasn't even maxed out her character yet. Spin off show please!
Check Star Wars. ;)
Jon snow is the best he got better and braver each fight
Daario and Greyworm is so skillful and dangerous
just plot armor
From day one, Jon Snow was always my favorite. 👍🏾
I’m putting Arya #1.
she is more of an assassin than a fighter. At 80 lbs .and 5 ft tall and a child's sword she wouldn't be able to parry swords with a man.
Part of the fiction of the show. Cool, but yes, completely unrealistic. Even leaving gender aside, unarmored and nimble fighting DID NOT WORK. Source: Years of the actual history of combat. @@erich1780
@@erich1780 Of course she is an assasin. She does not need to parry, with great speed, and silent movment she can poison her enemys before they realize what happend.
Non of these Big Fighters would stand a chance.
Sadly we did not get Mountain vs Arya, that would be asome, the big mountain swinging furious his sword through the air never hitting anything, while getting thousand deadly posioned cuts each moment.
Only Snow can broke anvil with his head! 😂😂😂 it was creepy.
tree death were satisfying in the series, jofrey, ramsey and lastly but not least, cersei
Yea the Hound not being on this list makes it low quality. and Podric on any level near the top 10 is silly
But this list is only with those who survived to the end.
What? 😅....nonsense
Favourite and coolest style red viper
1. Arthur dayne
2. Jaime lannister
3. Stannis baratheon
I don't understand why they aren't on the list: Jaime Lanister, Overyn or Arthur Dayne.
Because they are dead read the caption first
Didn’t see a lot but I feel Rob stark would have been a contender as well as Ned and Rob Baratheon and also Oberon.
Jon Snow #1? Absolutely no way. His little sister would wipe the floor with him.
😂😂😂.. you joking right Arya stands no chance
So I guess she stood no chance against Brienne either she smoked her. Arya is prolly the deadliest person on GOT easily got to agree she beats Jon Snow
There is a difference between fighting in a battle and been an assassin...
@@lawrencembaji1522She fought in battle at the end and smoked everyone
@@Saramorgan9John snow is never number 1
Take away plot armour he gets beat by most people
