If you want it to look nice, do not glue only velvet to the bottom. The bottom also needs a piece of cardboard aka a cereal box. Also, don't just leave a mess in the drawers from the old liner. All you have to do is put a damp paper towel in the drawer, covering the old, gross cardboard, let it set for 10/15 mins and then scrape it out. I use a sharpened putty knife thing and the old, wet cardboard comes right out. Scrape it a little more and remove as much old glue as you can. Then get a damp cloth and wipe each drawer out. Let them dry good and bam, you have a nice clean drawer. Even after it's clean tho, plz do not skip using cardboard at the bottom of each drawer. Using it at the bottom as well will make your project have that nice finished, polished look. If you're going to do all of this, you might as well do it correctly. Also, it's much better to use the velvet that has the sticky side already. Then you don't have to even worry about the glue seeping through your velvet. Good luck everyone. Watch plenty of videos and take little tips and tricks from each one. Don't base your whole project off of one video. Like this video where she could've done a lot better on this piece. 😳🫣😁🥰

Thank you so much for sharing your process on the inside of the drawers! I like refurbishing them, when I find them, but got so frustrated about how to replace the velvet or felt inside! I ended up painting them, instead. With your tips, I imagine I’ll fair better if I find more of them. 💕🇨🇦

You can also mod podge scrapbook paper on the inside. Instead of painting. Just an option 😊

Thanks, I believe you saved the day LOL..........and, I seen one of your other video's where you were diagnosed with "a dis-ease" I get that term from a book that was actually sent to me free after a Reading over the phone in the late 90's (LOL) the book is called..The Power is Within You, by Louise L. Hay........I absolutely Loved this book. And my take on the term is pronouncing the word I'm obviously avoiding in this way, is like not claiming the whole thing, or giving it a purpose?? I cant explain it like she does. I hope you are well..........and I wanted to say, your a very Beautiful Girl......my oldest daughter is 37 so don't think I'm a freak LOL.......hope you make some more video's.

Yes 🙌🏼 I love that book! And I love Louise L. Hay ♥️ My whole health situation has changed. About 3 months ago I had an epiphany! 🙏🏼 I guess I should do a video on that. I just didn’t think anyone cared or was watching lol 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’m glad you liked the jewelry box video too. It was fun to do 😁

Grreat but I always use separate pair of scissors for card and for fabric, as card bluntens fabric scissors.

I just re-did that same box. Mine was also missing the mirror. What did you do the cover the two holes on the top? I can't seem to find anything that looks right. I painted mine with lavender chalk paint, and covered the sides with lavebder damask-print scrapbook paper, then Mod-Podged two coats over the paper. Mine had the peacock blue lining in very good shape, but I had to tear it out, as someone sprayed or spilled a lot of perfume in the drawers. I had originally planned to paint it white, and decoupage a large peacock, with its tail-feathers cascading down the front, but having to tear out the lining changed that plan!

Oh!! The peacock would’ve been so nice! And good idea to match the turquoise lining! Too bad you had to remove it.

@@kristiinaburns2148 flannel might be ok. Stretchy and/or thin fabrics do not work well for this though.
