    an alternative to creating the shadow yourself is using 'drop shadow' in the blending options

  • @MrBfg586

    For the building shadows you can duplicate the buildings to use as a guild, then move that to were you want the shadows to end up and then draw the connecting angles. Fill that in with a deep purple and then adjust to opacity.

A couple of Brazilian architects like Marcio Kogan, Jacobsen Arquitetura and many other. • @LearnUpstairs
      @LearnUpstairs  5 років тому

      Obrigado pelo feedback Rafaella! Acredito que não exista essa opção, mas como cada layer do cada da pra configurar com uma espessura diferente. Na hora que vc abre no illustrator o .dwg, você consegue fazer seleção por Stroke Width (espessura de linha) e aí jogar os elementos de mesma espessura em layer separadas e assim organizar rapidamente o arquivo .Ai
      Espero que isso ajude! 😉

    Love the shadow effect. I always usually just use drop shadowe, what do you think are the main benefits of your manual approach?

    • @LearnUpstairs
      @LearnUpstairs  4 роки тому +1

      Hi Ben! Usually drop shadow doesn't create this long shadow effect. I mean if only applying a drop shadow, you'll get the effect as if your object is hovering over the plane. And we don't want that. So creating by hand allows us to properly place the object on the plane. I hope I could explain myself 😁

    • @LearnUpstairs
      @LearnUpstairs  5 років тому

      Oi Bárbara! Tem duas coisas que podem estar fazendo acontecer isso. 1: o tamanho do arquivo do illustrator talvez esteja muito pequeno. Aí quando joga pro PS ele explode. Ou 2: o DPI pode estar muito grande no PS e quando vc traz algo com baixo dpi do illustrator ele também fica ruim.

    • @LearnUpstairs
      @LearnUpstairs  5 років тому +1

      Thanks Bhavik! That's an interesting workflow alternative. I think it goes down to preference and what you are used to do. Doing like you said you end up using a lot of both softwares until the end, which can be good. But the way I showed only uses illustrator for a base drawings and the rest is done in photoshop.
