For sure Seong! Both the second and third let you express your ideas much better. And you can be more authentic, which is essential for a good portfolio
So useful and to the point. I always spend way too much time trying to make things look perfect. My favorite is a combination of the collage technique with crisp and accurate linework from the model. Looks technical but has depth and scale of material
Thanks for the feedback Maria! That's a really nice style for sure. Sometimes I like to overlay this accurate line work, but in white! It gives such an interesting contrast
just wanna say thank you for your always helpful Sketchup contents! I rarely see a video about making concept diagrams and rendering so thoroughly explained and shown, which gives me new ways to tinker with this software.
This is really helpful. It has provided my with a lot of clarity, as I tend to mix elements from different Render Styles into one another. Like I end up using Water Color Trees in a Realistic Render and subsequently never get the desired result. So thank you so much. This will help me a lot in fine tuning my Renders!!!

Hi Laura! For me it really depends to who are you going to present it. For a client, yes realistic is the way to go. But for your portfolio? I'd choose a mix of some techniques. They have much more identity and shows you representation skills and creativity better. But this is definitely an arguably topic and each one should have your preferred way
@@LearnUpstairs Hi! I understand what you mean, that comes from the poetic mindset of an architect. But, according to that why do not use hand drawing instead? that would have more identity. My point is that even vray is part of the past and you as an architect must be more focused in show your identity in the design rather than in the representation. Virtual Reality is the future and even there you can incorporate creative representation. By the way, what you did is a Great Job! your very talented!

That' s incredible, you turned one proyect in many amazing styles! Did you learned Photoshop by your own, or you take several courses to achieve that level of skills? Greetengs :D
Hi Joseph! Thanks a lot! I've learned photoshop over UA-cam and in some other tutorials. I didn't actually took a specific course, but it was more of a several years process 😅 For sure if I were to learn it all again today I'd take one or two courses to go directly to the best tips and tricks
You chose the style that most speaks to you. But also take into account the audience you’re presenting. If you’re still in school, and your presentation will be to your professors, then you can explore your creativity and be unique. They usually encourage you to do that. But if you’re talking to a client that has very little knowledge of architecture, realism may be your best bet! Hope that makes sense!
Hey Muhammad, thanks! As I said in the beginning, the image took around 1h40m to complete. I can't make it into a youtube tutorial because the video have to be around 10 minutes. So it would have to be a sped up video if it was the case of creating it. But, I have an udemy course explaining step by step all of the process to create such images. It's a workflow you can learn and apply to any type of image
how do you copy paste the wall texture in to the same layer, can you explain it please?, I know it may sound dumb, but when I try to use the commands you use cntrl A and cntrl T on my casa anything happened, specifically minute 6:50
Could you make the cartoony scale figures in image 2 available to buy? Would love that pack. I've seen more flat illustrator people in some of your Instagram posts as well for Saboia Ruiz Arquitetos
Make sure to send them to me! I'd love to see how other people would create this. Without a graphics tablet you probably won't be able to create exactly the way I did. But you could do it over your screen with a paper, then scan and in photoshop color the final result. Or you could swap the style to another one 👍😁

Upstairs sure, and you’re doing a great job. It’s just that students tend to be focused on graphics that they tend to believe that representation is all that matters. And sometimes you get great representation with really bad spatial features. The result: they end working for someone else’s ideas.
