I just love these videos of walking through places in Pittsburgh. I haven’t lived in Pittsburgh since the 60’s when I went west after Vietnam. I didn’t spend much time in Bloomfield, but had relatives in Lawrenceville and would walk through.
Walk along that street many times when I was small with my grandmother Carmel she worked at the Peerless department store for many years right across the street we used to walk down to a I believe it was a giant eagle sometimes we used to go to the groceria Italiano or sometimes two lights Bakery or sometimes we used to go go to I was so very blessed to spend that time with her I remember it very very well God bless her and her memory sometimes we used to go to the Mac Church a lot of my relatives lived on either side of Liberty Avenue the gas Barros lift all around that area
At 33:40 the store front on the left with the wheelchair ramp was my dad's butcher shop in the 1970s. It appears to be vacant when this video was shot.
I walk down this corridor nearly every day & recognize some individuals. Based on my observations I would assume that this was filmed on a Saturday morning around autumn of 2021?
I've lived in Florida for 30 plus years Pittsburgh will always be home to all of you who I've never been here please take note of how clean it is there's no trash on these streets
I lived over 50 years there. Left before covid. I've never seen Pittsburghers wearing masks. I used to eat lunch at the Pleasure Bar a lot. It's weird seeing Pittsburghers wear masks. Used to be more crowded.

There's nothing like those big red port authority busses that I ride everyday from Cheswick to downtown Pittsburgh
Nice sidewalks, was that a traffic light, nothing says little Italy more than a traffic light.

The Pleasure Bar has always been a favorite place to dine. Hopefully in the coming months the crowds will return.
I like the city because more people wear them and care about their neighbors.
