the building you open on is called The Soldiers & Sailors Memorial. Inside, at the top of the building is a room called The Russian Tea Room. This was the room in "Silence of the Lambs" where Hannibal escaped his cell when served dinner... hard to believe when in there b/c the colors are so bright yet the scene was so gloomy
@@pittsburgh.neighborhoods1168 It most certainly IS a great city. It is my favorite city in the USA and, in my opinion, the most underrated. Before moving to Pittsburgh, I had the impression that since it was known as the "steel" city it would look something like Cleveland, Ohio, for example (industrial, with a lot of factories). So, when I got to Pittsburgh and walked along Forbes Avenue and saw the Cathedral of Learning and the Carnegie complex across the street I thought for a minute that I was in Vienna, Prague, or Budapest!!
Actually it does in a lot of ways. Great restaurants, a few colleges & museums, diverse people, and lots of things to do without ever needing to leave the neighborhood.
Thank you. I was there in the 70s. Best days of my life.
What’s the camera set up for this video? How are you walking and taking video at the same time? You got a really great shots!
