Hi Kyle, I have the same washer that you have on picture showing on your on your app. It just done the code F8E1.
Hi Kyle
I’m unable to get to diagnostic program because machine won’t even turn on. Electrical outlet works, I plugged in lamp to check. But also checked amps.
I have also unplugged for 10 minutes. Any additional help before calling service? Thank you
Mine is stuck in a mode that tells me, "Please rotate the know to an available cycle," even though it already is and it keeps beeping so that I can't run the washer in any mode
Hi Kyle, Do you know how to unlock the lid on a maytag washer MVW7232HW0 that won't power on?
What does it mean when it says please turn know to selection and doesn’t do anything . The turn knob doesn’t do anything
I have this same washer and it is stuck in the sensing mode. It stays on that cycle for several minutes then it says washing complete and shuts off. It’s only a year old. Any ideas what the problem might be and can I fix it myself? Thank you!!!
Yeah I got the same problem like you can see this guy don't answer the comments 😢
Same problem
I'm having the same issue. The wash starts in sensor mode than jumps to wash complete. Did you have any luck with finding a solution? This sounds like a recall issue.
@@monet3293 I bought it from Lowe’s and paid for the extended warranty.
I had a repair guy come out and run some tests on the washer and it acted perfectly for him. He said he would order some part and be back in a couple of weeks. The washer has had no further issues since then
@@jasonpayne280 What part did they need to order?
My washer is making the popping noise at the beginning of the cycle. The display shows “sensing,” the machine clicks for 2-3 minutes and then shows “cycle complete.” What’s going on with my machine?
I found the cause and solution! It's caused by a bad Slider/Clutch. This is a 2-part component - a plastic center hub, with a magnetic metal ring or band around the outside. And that is held on by small plastic protrusions that fill in small holes in the clutch. The problem is that these protrusions break off, and that metal ring is free to slide up or down from the plastic part, with the result that the "teeth" may not engage with the teeth of the rotor. You could replace the clutch/slider (part # W10734521), but it will break again in a year or two. So, I tried gluing the ring to the plastic using Super Glue Gel, after roughening up both surfaces with sandpaper first. So, far, it is working great. Only time will tell if that is a permanent fix for the problem.
Hi Kyle, I have the same washer and I have code F7E4, should I replace the Rotor and Clutch together ?
It's almost certainly caused by a bad Slider/Clutch. But to replace that, you have to take off the motor rotor first, and when you do, check the square "teeth for wear, and if you see obvious wear, you probably should replace the rotor as well. Let me explain about that clutch. How to change reset lid lock sensor?
I’m having this issue currently, did you ever find a solution?
Hi Kyle , I just put in a new control board because the old one went out had the Maytag 3 years go figure. My questions is I have calibrated the washer, reset to factory defaults and unplugged the washer for 3 mins, on the short cycle it gets stuck at the spin cycle at 12 minutes and stays any thoughts what could be causing the issue?
Having same problem, find out anything?
Yes after calibration and still stuck, on the spin cycle option choose medium not fast this will fix issue
Also on the normal cycle turn off the fast spin then it will work too mine does not get stuck anymore hope it helps
Thanks! Will try later
It worked! Why doesn’t it work in fast spin setting anymore tho with new control board?.. that’s weird
