4 months old and already breaking down. The $150 washer I bought 23 years ago still worked when I “upgraded”. I should go to the landfill and try and dig it up.
Have had mine for 6 months so far. The first red flag should have been when they used a thin plastic lid latch on a door without any supporting struts and low spring tension. Let it slam just once and you don't have a washer until parts come in unless you want to fiddle with the lock sensor.
U ain't lying brand new and the problems are over n over n over....n0w mine won't stop blinking rotate knob to available cycle...it won't even let me do this...and my dryer is the same
Please use a surge protector before plugging a computerized washer into an outlet. I've owned 3 Maytag impeller washers since the old 2008 Maytag Bravos, and having it connected to a quality surge protector in my 46-year-old house is essential. Other than the normal wear and tear from weekly use, all my previous 2 machines lasted their average 7-8yr lifespan without needing repairs. Yes, we are buying machines complicated by their over-dependence on microprocessors, but that is the mandatory way of manufacturing them, no matter whether they be a vaunted Speed Queen or mid-range Maytag. Find a machine to match your household needs and buy an extended warranty and surge protector.
😡 DON'T BUY THIS WASHER--the first time I purchased it--it broke after only 3 years old. I had a warranty (THANK GOD)--the warranty company paid me a great majority of the money for the washer--with that being said, I wanted my washer & dryer to match one another so I added money to what the warranty company paid me in order to purchase the same type of washer--worse decision ever--the new washer is doing the same thing--THANK GOD AGAIN--I called Home Depot within the 48-hour window and that gives me the option to have it replaced or get my money back--OF COURSE I WILL CHOOSE THE MONEY BACK OPTION THIS TIME--I AM SO OVER THIS--I hope things work out for all of you.
I got this one about a year ago and it has sucked from the first day and still today. I am so frustrated with its performance and ability. Major problem is it does not give it enough water to wash. The clothes are barely wet and I can hear the machine struggling to agitate. Long story short machine needs more water. I have taken stuff out and still had streaks of detergent on them and I happened to catch it not rinsing well at all. It shakes so badly that it gets off balance and I can't move it. There have been other issues and I am done with it. If I was Wonder Woman I would go back to the store and throw it back at them! I have to stand by it and babysit it. Im going to call for repair man see if there is anything they can do.
I have also had the EXACT Same Issues! I have always had a Maytag, but I hate this unit. When you called your repair man, was there anything they could do to stop the off balance issue?
I purchased the same machine.. biggest mistake I have ever made. I have all the same problems you have. Warranty is a joke. Lowe's home improvement store of Bristol virginia.. would not exchange it the next day after my purchase..the repair says he doesn't have an answer for the problems..I have lost $900.00..
About to replace the lid latch lock mechanism for THIRD time since purchasing Sept 2020. It was the only washer in captivity so I had no alternative. This time will be my first effort at DIY but the dealership agreed to order the part and let us do the fix. My husband breaks the lid by trying to force it open whenever there is a load out of balance or similar. He is supposed to Step Away From The Machine and do no harm. sigh
here is an update guys…the appliance tech just left my house and said i need a clutch and slider and its $480.00 i don’t actually know what those things are im just repeating what and how much haha.
Can’t give me one. I did an average-large load of t shirts when it was done there were some that didn’t even get wet never mind clean. I bought a large washer to cut down on loads not have to do them again 😢
Mine won't even let me go through any of the diagnostics as soon as I get on that screen and try stuff f3 e2 comes on. I clear it..... Then try things again in the same code pops up. On my paperwork it says it's a pressure sensor issue and that's integrated into the main board behind the control board. When I asked questions other people say it's a temperature control issue but that's not what it says the code is on my paperwork
Same. Worst washer and dryer I have ever owned. No power. Lid locked, wet clothes inside. Maytag suggests finding a service provider to come out. Spent $1000 on this and I didn’t even get 3 years out of it.
This is the most aggravating washer I have ever owned. The 10-year warranty isn't worth a crap if you ever need to use it. Give me the older style any day.
I refuse to use the WIFi. Anyone know what the “special features” offer? I wish I would have kept my old washer and dryer. My clothes looked and smelt so much clearer!!! 😫 😭😭😭😭😭😭😠
I can't believe how bad this model is. It was the most expensive model at Homedepot and it's shocking how bad the Maytag MVW7230HC. It's really a scam piece of machinery. A technician told me it's probably the worst machine he's had to work on as it's almost impossible to fix if an issue arises. I junked mine after Maytag sent an incompetent repair man who couldn't fix it. a private guy suggested I don't even waste my time. This machine will be money burned. It's garbage.
Somebody, anybody please tell me wtf this machine sprinkles water on top of the clothes and starts doing its version of agitating when the clothes are still dry?
Mine gave me problems right from the beginning as well. It's also not helpful that the same interfaces used on different models and the codes mean different things on different units.
@@mariaegodinez4958 it could be two things, the transmission that switches gear to lock spin or the compositor , round tube looking thingy with 2 wires connected to it.What fix mines is compositor change.
These are the biggest piece of shit known to man. And Maytag customer support is a joke. They said in a letter that they couldn’t locate and repair technicians in my area. Good lord there are dozens of them!
Yes we have a Maytag commercial technology washing and after it is thought washing it still is dripping water in the washing mashing even if the water is turn off what could it be it not and it old machine
This guy doesn't know what he's doing. He's just touching buttons. LOL. By the way, got my first Matag and supposedly the marketing ploy is that Maytag guy just sits around waiting for customer to call with issues and no one does. Well, its a bunch of bull shit. Had mine for under 2 years and it broke already. I called customer service and since it had no extended warranty they want $350 for someone to come and check and see if they can fix it. Why would i throw more money to junk when a new one costs about $800? Never ever again will i buy a Maytag which parent company is Whirlpool, associated with Kitchen Aid, and Amana. Just watch for this company's.

Same here. What a piece of junk.
We've the same model, its a hunk of junk.

This video has just saved my sanity for at least a few more hours. Can't thank you enough.
Mine is 3 years old. My very old Amana was still working great. I should have kept it.
I just bought this washing machine and I am shocked that it is so noisy!! 😮
I hope it works good for a very long time! 🙏

My drain overfills at least once every 3 months since i bought this same one.
If the drain overfill it is not your washer. You may have a partial drain clog. the flow from the machine should not be able to cause the overfill.
