    So glad I came across this video. I ordered the set of 5 they have now. But the Ciao ones. Since I don't want dubble in the Sketch set. And this way I have thinner ones as well.

    I don't need these at all, but I watched the whole video and now I'm tempted to buy just because you basically sold me.

    Really helpful video.
    One of my Ohuhu grey markers (Cool Grey 7) seems to have lost its shape at the top of the tip (it still seems to have plenty of color, so that's what I'm guessing is the problem) and it makes using the grey more difficult (filling out large spaces and small details are problematic).
    I'm between getting a Copic set of greys (I have a few Copics and I LOVE them), or getting Ohuhu's set of grey... it would result in me getting a few new colors, but plenty of doubles I don't need right now.
    When I realized Copic has a large set of greys, I figured I should look up some swatch videos (the swatch examples never do it service) and see someone's opinion of if THIS many markers in the grey is necessary. Given I use a mix of pencils + markers, I think I can worry about more range of darks in pencils than markers, and just use the smaller set of Copics to fill my needs.
    So again, thank you for looking into this. It helped narrow down my decision in about five minutes!

    There's one thing i want to ask Do i need to buy some special paper for this marker?

    • @MarcelSaleta
      @MarcelSaleta  2 роки тому +1

      Honestly, I’d say a paper on the thicker side works best. In this video I used a mixed media sketchbook, which has 98lb/160g paper :) Probably the regular printing paper is not ideal for the markers

      oh no!! honestly they are good tho haha, the whole pack will be handy on the long run. There's a LOT you can learn from just using grays, it really helps you understand values and contrast, and that's super important when it comes to art. And remember, building your collection of markers its something you can do bit by bit and that's okay! Hope you get your colors soon 😉✨

    Tip met 3kleuren grijs heb je ook genoeg en dat geld voor alle kleuren combinaties heb je meer geld koop er dan 5 van een kleurgroep je kan ook twee kleuren kopen en dan juist een grijze de t5 erbij kopen om de kleuren donkerder te maken

    Siempre haces primero tradicional / dibujo en cuaderno y despues escaneas /fotos para pasar a digital? y si es asi es algo por costumbre o por algun beneficio? :o

      Haha no! depende del resultado que ande buscando, aunque dibujar tradicionalmente tiene cierto encanto y se siente diferente. Pero nuevamente, depende, a veces si a veces no.

    I’m not a fan of greys… I just substitute really light colors for shading in white areas

      Grays can easily make your drawing look dirty or muddy (specially neutral/warm grays), but I like cool greys because they give more of a blueish tint to my shadows that I prefer. Light colors for shading is definitely an option as well tho :)

    Does it imprint on the other side of page ? I mean does it bleed through a normal drawing paper ?

    • @MarcelSaleta
      @MarcelSaleta  Рік тому +1

      Hi! So it depends what you call “normal drawing paper”. Normal printing paper is 20lb I believe, and the paper I used was 80lb which is on the thicker side and even then, the ink can bleed to the back and even the next page if you let the markers rest on the spot too long or do multiple passes! So I’d say a thicker paper is better and prepare for only be able to use one side of the sheet. Hope that helps! :)

      @@MarcelSaleta Oh okay ! Thankyou so much for the reply … Actually I was looking for a marker or something that wont bleed through in my exam . We are just allowed to use pencil colours and dry media ,and so it takes too long to colour a background for a bold fill… can you suggest some solution ? -vidhi
