Thank you for explaining whether to take it on a full or empty stomach because I personally could not find that info on the Huels website. I too Do IF and follow a strict ketogenic diet, so thanks again for the recommendation to take it as a Pre-workout supplement. 👍🏾🙌🏾
I know this is an old video but I was looking for a review video that actually broke down the ingredients and yours is like the only one! Plus Huel has been advertised all up and down my timeline for months before I caved and bought it last week. All of 2023 was hell for me and I had put on so much weight and eaten like a homeless person so I told myself that 2024 would be different. I’d take my health more seriously. Fast forward to day 5 of drinkin the daily greens and I agree it’s very chalky, it smells like green apple and does have a hint of green apple taste but to me ALONE WITH ONLY WATER, it’s not good lol I will probably add it to a green smoothie next week. One of the downsides so far is the stomach bubbly and gas smh it makes me fart and poop a lot. I’m hoping once my body gets used to it this stops 😢😢
Have you thought about alternate day fasting? I’m doing quite well with it combined with walking 10k steps a day (almost everyday). If I was to have a break from ADF I would ween myself off sugar for a fortnight and then do the AFD. I’ve lost almost a stone in a month and although you could say it was mostly water, my clothes are looser and I’m feeling better with it. There’s loads of videos on 36 hour fasting. I fast 3 days a week and eat sensibly on feeding days. I intentionally have little to no sugar.
Farting and pooping more is totally a sign that your body is resetting itself for the better! It didn't affect me drastically in that way with Huel but I felt that when I first took probiotics. I don't experience those gastrointestinal symptoms at the severity I felt anymore.
I just ordered Huel for the first time. I did a bundle and got the daily greens, a couple black edition flavors, and one hot option to try out. I’m most excited about the greens tbh and was really overwhelmed trying to figure out what brand to go with. So many options! I almost don’t believe you that they taste good😂 but I’m hopeful
Nice!! I personally only buy Huel Black, and my favorite flavor is Banana. And yea the greens are surprisingly really good compared to every other super greens powder I've had
I've been using Daily Greens for about 2 weeks. Not sure if I "feel" the benefits yet but it's very drinkable. It smells sweet and the flavor is pretty toned down with a hint of sweetness. The water requirement is so minimal that you could chug this. The bottle that they give you only needs to be filled 1/3 of the way with water so you aren't bloated trying to drink the whole thing in one sitting. So far it's very light and easy to put down the gullet.
This tastes amazing. A little apple-y and pineapple-y, and there's a little cinnamon/baking spice in there too. It became even more palatable when I added in a squirt of this cucumber lime water flavoring concentrate I get off Amazon, the taste doesn't change but the little extra sweetness is a great addition.
I ended up buying it and it might be a coincidence, but so far, my digestion and just my tummy feels less bloated. Will keep going and see what happens!
Had 1st Phorm Greens, and Reds. The only way to describe it is eating shaved grass, mixed with red paint. Absolutely awful unless mixed together. Even then, it was an acquired distaste. Left a bad taste afterwards. Based on this video, I tried Huel, just like I have been using their Hot and Savories for a few years. My experience, is that it tastes more along the lines of a light apple bubblegun, except old and expired. In liquid form. Extremely MENTALLY disgusting, until getting use to it after about a week. Now I just dump it down, get a tiny splash of water after, and the taste is gone. Brush my teeth, and go to sleep. No taste effects. Great health effects.
I love my Huel hot meals and black edition shakes, but this tastes quite unpleasant. Kind of vaguely veg-like, but chalky/earthy tasting with bitter after taste. No matter how good for you it is, it's gotta be enjoyable right? I don't look forward to it at all but I suppose I'll finish it, so I have 27 days left to go ;-/ It's really expensive aswell. My monthly Huel bill went up from £77 to £118. I won't renew. I think I'll just use greens supplement pills instead.
Really? I actually don't mind the taste at all - I kind of like it. Then again, I've been having green powders for years, so I'm used to more of an intense earthy taste haha. So in comparison, this tastes WAY better than most green powders out there
Love the explanation of the taste. I just tried Huel and liked it so now I'll try the greens. If it's that good, then I'll swap it for my Athletic Greens!
To be honest, I feel like Huel is half as good so it being half the price is really not a different value for money in my eyes, I think I'm gonna switch back to athletic greens because this stuff has me wanting to drink twice as much of it anyway lol
@@mannyw_that's absolutely not a subjective thing at all, I have no idea what this person is talking about. Not to say that he's wrong, I'm just pretty sure he's completely wrong.
I didn't mind the taste when i first started and could drink it daily no problems. Three months in and i'm starting to not like it, Finding i have to force myself to drink it now and am missing the odd day.
May I ask why you filled the whole bottle with water? Package advises 1 scoop for 8.45z of water. Will using more water negatively effect the greens and their benefit in anyway? Sorry if it’s a dumb question, I’m new to using such supplements and my instincts tell me to follow the package.
Personally I always have a lot of water, so filling it with more water is never a bad idea. I have 1-2 gallons of every day (I'm also super active and everything)
I think it's a fair question. If you've ever mixed powders with water or other liquids, you should know that the more of a liquid added to a mix will dilute the taste. Using twice as much water that's recommended could very well skew a person's perception of what something tastes like. I genuinely don't think there's a right or wrong way to mix your drink. It's all about personal preference in my opinion but I can certainly understand the question.
Sounds like Odwalla green juice with a mint hint? I wish I could recall the juice. But theres a juice Ive had from Safeway, its a little pickle and mint. Very interesting, not for everyone. So when I saw this from Huel I actually suspected that.
Is this recommended for someone with a sensitive stomach? For example, I know people with IBS or IBD and struggle with eating whole veggies. Thinking of recommending this product to them.
I took huel greens last evening with dinner. I’ve been throwing up out of my mouth and butt for the last 6 hours. honestly for about 30 mins I thought I was going to die. Don’t do it.
I've lost a lot of my bowels and huel has helped me take in nutrients etc my body can't usually absorb. I'm going to try the greens, only way to find out. if they don't work for you then someone in their families may like it?
I always suggest doing that - I think too many people look at green powders as a pure substitution, when it should be in addition to everything else. Real food sources are almost always better than supplements
I started both Mounjaro and Huel Black on May 10th of this year, and I lost 15 pounds in 4 weeks. I ONLY “eat” Huel. Nothing else. It’s now 6 weeks, and I’m still only drinking Huel Black and Daily Greens. 🥬 I love 💕 Huel Black, but the Daily Greens are gross!! 🤮 It tastes like mushrooms to me. But, I drink it down anyway because it’s good for me.
Congrats!! And I think I'm so used to other green powers (green vibrance, amazing grass, etc) that I'm used to a super earthy taste - so in comparison the Huel Greens are way better
something that really annoys me is that it costs you 45 dollars but here in the uk it cost £45 which works out at 56 dollars so we have to pay more
thats put me off getting it
@@ejallen9457 i bought some anyway to give it a try and the taste is vile haha
Their price isn’t including tax where as ours is
