Hey Jon, I'm Shan from your UA-camrU community :). Thanks so much for this honest review! It was really helpful cuz I too was curious about AG1. I ended up creating my own green powder instead though by basically copying the ingredients found in commercial green supplements. I went to the herb store, bought all the powders individually, added beetroot powder as well (it's like a natural viagra), and in total for about 500 grams (1 pound), I paid $14. And the stuff works amazing!! I def get a massive energy boost, plus the benefits of the beetroot powder. Anyway, just wanted to suggest a more cost effective alternative :). Best wishes :)
Helpful and thorough review! Thank you for that. I watch Hubermanlab and Tim Ferriss. I knew Tim Ferriss was an investor but didn’t know Dr. Huberman was an advisor. They both say they were taking the product before they were who we know them to be also🤷🏿♀️ Your video was super helpful for any of us on the fence about trying. And shout-out to your wife, the real MVP!❤
Your cheaper amazon green comparison is apples and oranges. The amazon one lacking the vitamins and minerals of AG1. I looked up the AG1 vitamins before trying it and am impressed they chose the natural and higher quality (also more expensive) types (ie natural vitamin E vs synthetic and methylcobalamin for B12 vs the cheaper less absorbable source. It is pricey and my jury is still out but after a short period of drinking it, I have lost weight easily and my nagging headaches have disappeared. I'm also impressed that it is caffeine free because some supplements sneak caffeine in to trick consumers into thinking the other ingredients of the supplement are making them feel better. For my lifestyle and intense work schedule, I find taking this powder vs a series of other supplements is very promising. My nephew told me about it because he's been taking it for 2 years and says no other formula has given him the results he enjoys. He's one who is extremely athletic and works out.
We (my hubby and I) took AG1 for 5 months and noticed zero difference. Just seemed to add an extra step to our already busy morning. Everyone is different. Maybe it'll work for you, but our experience was meh. Agreed with video - if you're already eating healthy, skip this, or focus more on your nutrition.
Yeah, I've been going to my local farmer's market more often recently for really fresh and seasonal organic greens, and $99 goes a long way to raise the baseline of an already healthy diet.
I am horrible at eating healthy and looking for a supplement for vegetable replacements because I just don’t like vegetables. Would this be a good start?
I think there’s no harm in trying for a month and keep tabs on how it makes you feel. Like I said in the video, everyone’s baseline is different and so its impact on people would vary significantly.
I have fibromyalgia and ADHD. Not a great combo. Brain fog or simple inattention/distraction makes it easy for me to forget to eat or take pills. The constant feeling of exhaustion makes it challenging to cook the nutritious meals id like. Thats not to mention all the dietary restrictions due to the digestive issues so a lot of times I have to find the energy to cook one thing for me and something else for my family. With my condition, there are more unknowns than knowns. However, some supplements have been shown to be helpful for pain and/or things that can increase pain so I incorporate those. For example, vitamin d has been shown to reduce fibro pain. I also take ashwagandha to help with stress and Tumeric for inflammation, both can trigger pain. Magnesium to help with sleep. I’ve found quite a few supplements helpful after a lot of research and AG1 helps reduce the number of pills down to 6 a day. Plus I don’t have to worry about my nutrition as much. Bonus: no more nerve pain meds and the aching in my legs was gone. That said, the price is a lot and I might need to find a cheaper option.
I think if you are already healthy and doing well it may not be as apparent. I am 61 and have health challenges and AG1 made all the difference in the world to me. Plus it offers a lot more than what I was already doing including the mushrooms.
This was very helpful to watch. I’m 7mo postpartum and my immunity has gone seriously down during this time. I was looking to see if there was anything on the market that I could just add to my routine for immunity boosting. Your point about Chinese medicinal soups and their ingredients has me thinking it’s familiar, tasty, and effective. I’ll just to stick with that. Plus I’d rather spend my coin on a Chinese small business or mom n’ pop.
haha don't know what this is, a stick or something. It looks like you're getting very looked after and don't need the AG1 Ithink I'll just stick to adding more greens to my diet At that price unless I could see a huge difference I won't be bothering
Yep, she definitely takes good care of me. I also lean into the carnivore diet, which is pretty easy hassle free since I just need to figure out how to cook a mean steak with salt and pepper and repeat it every time so it’s easy if she’s too busy. Kids got used to occasionally eating only meats too.
Are you going to give AG1 a try?
no, not after this review 😂

@@DarmaStudio-108 good to see you here! That’s actually a great idea - maybe I should do the same. Better to buy in bulk and mix it ourselves.

You’re right - she da real MVP!
Great points, 100% agree. Price is 99$ to cover the marketing expenses of around 69$

You have a fair point. My question is whether the difference between the Amazon options vs AG1 is worth the price difference?
Thank you for putting the tie into this. You answered all of my questions and curiosities.
Happy to hear that - are you going to get it?

Oh for sure, there’s plenty of Chinese herbal meds that help. If you have the time to make them, it’s definitely the way to go.
Well said.
Thank you!

$99 a month vs finding a wife...
Good point… haha….
Lot of nonsense without getting to the point.

I’m flattered that you watched long enough to comment though!
