Dont worry about super in depth comboes. As long as you know how to do basic links and set ups for certain things thats all most players really need. Whats more important is the ability to read your opponent and figuring out which basic option is best in that instant.

I never liked fighting games much as a kid besides Smash bros. Max showed me that they aren't as complicated as they seem and now its my favorite genre.

Max honestly learns so fast for these sorts of things. I guarantee you that most of anybody else would never have been able to pull of that last combo ONCE, let alone immediately REPEAT it flawlessly. Especially if they only had the steps given. This is good shit, right here.
I mean there Better players than Max and it took him over 30 minutes to learn this combo. I’m pretty sure That someone could have done the same thing he did if they had nearly the same experience as him But it was a Great feat none the less
Flashbacks to KOFXIII trials, which I loved despite how impossible they seemed (never did finish Ash's). If a fighting game isn't capable of combos like this, I feel like it's missing something.
That ending was pretty godlike! He didn’t have to do it again, but he just did it! It’s like that one time Mike Ross defeated that super difficult bot on SFV ranked and then beat it again, after K-Brad and Gootecks were telling him to run with the points.

I can do these combos you see in combo videos (only the intermediate stuff, and not consistently, that's why I favor grappling characters), but usually in these trial modes I have a really hard time, especially with strings. It's as if the game worked differently in there. I dunno.
This is the kind of things Arika's Trial mode has that other games trial modes don't have. It's hard, not only necause of the execution skills needed, but because it makes you *think*. It sometimes is not as straightforward as the missin tells you it is. I'd love if Max were to try EX2+ and EX3 Trial modes.
I felt the same the first time I tried the last combo for Goku in FighterZ from knockdown cancel into his level 3, I'm a very, very casual fighting game player and it took me 10 minutes to land it. This is like comparing algabra to basic multiplication in difficulty in my eyes, I couldn't do a quarter of those last 3 combos

What make this even better, is that there is something extremely satisfying about watching that last combo, not only the difficult, but is also about how all the links come together... It looks very aesthetic. Nice video, is nice to see some love for my all time favorite fighting game character.

I can't quite put my finger on it, Max, but I've just always liked your style. This was entertaining to watch, and I was excited when you got that success at the end. Watching Terry in this game really shows just how faithful his Smash moveset is to his classic moveset. Literally the only move that he has that's original to Smash is his up-air. That's it. That's darned impressive right there.

I mean, the issue wasn't so much the combo per se, it's just that it wasn't annotated correctly. In order to combo the moves shown, you have to throw in a bunch of other moves in order to keep the juggle going, meaning that not only is the actual combo hard af, but you have to figure half of it out yourself. I'm sure this will get patched pretty soon. It'll be hilarious if the patched version is actually just what Max did here except annotated correctly lol.

I swear Max has to be a Saiyan of fighting games. The more he fights and is defeated, the faster his body adapts and gets stronger
