Thanks mate, great video. I have a 1.4 Megan/Scenic (my faithful bus) and 2 and 3 seem to be my problem too just like this video. I am worried that I can't seem to undo the plugs as I was going to change all 4 plugs and the same two coils as you. I have had the car for 5 years and I have never even seen the plugs! (please don't hate me) 😂
Easy. Engine on idle: either disconnect the low voltage connector on each coil, one at the time, or as at the video: unscrew the coils and lift them one by one, and listen which ones gives a change in rpm. If one of the coils does not affect the idle rpm: that is the sick one.

Does it hurt the engine to "unplug" them like that while running?
Thanks...
You're welcome

Hello, can be the same problem with engine 1.6 74kw in Megane III ? I have new sparks etc, power is ok, but engine is shaking more "than usually" :-)
Hi could you explain how you knew which coil was bad thanks
Hi, if you pull the coil and the motor is not starts to vibrate then that coil is bad
Cheers mate
Is it possible to drive the car for a short while even while this problem exists?
Hi, only for emergency and short drive is no problem and your car wouldn't want to drive that fast.
