I have an iSDT SC620, which is a single output charger, but similar to your iSDT charger in features. I've found it to be my favorite, and I have several 'hobby grade' chargers, including the iMax B6, Venom and EV-Peak. I also have an iSDT charger for AA NiCD/NiMH and 18650 cells ... it works great as well. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend an iSDT charger. The Hobbymate does have a LOT of extra settings, but, I guess you have to decide if you're going to be using all of those. Thanks for the look. Cheers!
Fan is fixed now with new firmware, I just reviewed this and updated the firmware , as long as you switch off wireless charging the fan is off unless it's needed when temp goes over 60c and switches off again under about 50c. Very nice charger now.
Couple people commented that it looks ugly, but I think it looks better than the ISDT.. I don't like the sharp edged box look of the ISDT. And frankly ISDT lost my custom when they locked down their BattGo smart protocol.. such a shame - could have been great for the sport. The DC power input feature is a deal maker, and the larger (quieter) fan solution is a bonus (ignoring idle levels), as is the additional battery type options. Probably my next charger. If you use a DC Power Supply to power your ISDT charger like I do, it has a fan and makes a noise. I think you should turn off that ISDT when not in use Andy, even if it is silent......lol.
Great vid!#😊 Andy where can I order standoffs for 20x20 stacks please? I can't find them anywhere are they m2 standoffs and bolts? You only get enough to mount the lower stack with the hglrc xjb stack.. Please help
Got a Hota D6 Pro and when turned on I just get the message "CH1 Self-check failed! (E108)". Troubleshooting I did: firmware update or hard reboot, but problem continued. Not happy! UPDATE - reported the issue to HOTA, sent emails several times for any news, and they only kept replying "sorry to hear that" and did nothing - reported the issue to Banggood, and after sending the unit back was fully refunded - now I have an ISDT D2
The reason you hear the Hobbymate when you plug it in, but not the ISDT has nothing to do with two fans. It's simply the fact that ISDT D2 doesn't turn on the fan unless the internal temp demands it, where as the Hobbymate always runs the fan when plugged in, although at a lower RPM than when it heats up. Take another listen to both the ISDT and the Hobbymate running full tilt, and you'll notice the Hobbymate is actually quieter than the ISDT D2. Why? Very simple - larger fans almost always trump more numerous smaller fans when it comes to airflow/noise ratio. The ISDT is using 2x 40mm fans, vs Hobbymate's single 50mm fan. A simple 10mm increase on the fan size nets roughly 2x the airflow, while also a single 50mm fan is
I know, but you mentioned it might be due to ISDT's two fan design vs the Hobbymate's one. I was only pointing out that's not why, while also pointing out that under load the Hobbymate is quieter. And it's potentially possible that Hobbymate may be able to correct the louder idle fan noise via a firmware update. In fact, I just noticed a new firmware came out for it today. Unfortunately, they're not forthcoming with a changelog.

On my D6 i got 15a off the AC with a 5300mah 2C charge rate battery just to see if it went to 15a on a single ch off of AC and it did it

im talking about when its not in use. if you leave it plugged in on standby the hobbymate is much louder. cheers

I can't notice any difference with the idle fan noise with the 1.0.20 firmware, so it wasn't corrected in this firmware for sure.
