      Had more aces than Nadal today actually, his first serve was firing, but obviously with his height his second serve will lack pace and spin.

      There is unfortunately no much room for improvement there for Diego with his height.I love him though 😎

      Diego is different type of player, he has bigger ground strokes, plays more offensive, but he may not be as consistent as David, i think both of them cannot be compared.

    Schwartzman played such a courageous match today, hitting winners from everywhere on the court, and out of no where too. Nadal's big match experience, and fighting spirit AGAIN helped him get through this tough match. But if Nadal wants to win AO this year, he needs to play better than what he did today.

    It's fucking amazing seeing people claiming Nadal has an easy draw, as if Cilic and Dimitrov/Kyrgios (if he makes it to the final) were amateurs. Anyway, Nadal has proven throughout his career that he can beat anyone even has ended up being the champion facing TOP players in the same tournament. I don't know why some of you are anxious when it comes to discredit Rafa.

    • @tom0176devo
      @tom0176devo 6 років тому +3

      He also had to face Mayer, Dzumhur and Schwartzman, all top players.

    • @InsanePanda08
      @InsanePanda08 6 років тому +1

      Dzumhur even though is a top 30 player didnt play well that day and even if did dont really think he has the weaponry to best Rafa but the other two Mayer and Schartzman are very tough matches and yeah dont really know why some Fed fans are going around sayin he has a weak draw and now he faces another top 10 player in Cilic

    • @Gigusx
      @Gigusx 6 років тому +1

      What Murthy Krishnan said, also, top seed earns you an easier draw and it's not like Nadal doesn't have to through some tough opponents anyway just like you mentioned. Also, I think many people forget how great Nadal actually is (same as Federer and Djokovic), no matter what draw they'll find themselves in, they'll have much easier time than any other top10 player would in similar position.

      Federer's style is extremelly boring. He is a servebot. Aces, aces, and more aces. That's why he only has won 1 Roland Garros out of 20 Grand Slams. His game is serve dependent.

    How to beat Nadal:
    Very Simple
    Move him back and attack his backhand.
    But in reality so difficult to do because of his tactical acumen and match awareness.

    • @TheNabOwnzz
      @TheNabOwnzz 6 років тому +9

      Yeah, so simple that it is completely wrong. You need to attack his forehand, not backhand. He needs time to charge up that extreme topspin forehand and if you keep a lot of depth in your shots Nadal will eventually be outplayed if you keep hitting his forehand wing ( This is also Djokovic`s tactic for beating Nadal, and since he is the player with the most wins against him this also proves its the strategy that works ). Nadals backhand doesnt have any weakness whatsoever defensively and should definitely be avoided.

    • @InsanePanda08
      @InsanePanda08 6 років тому +2

      yup defensively Rafa's backhand is like a wall it's not going to break if something might break its his forehand as illustrated by his matches with Novak

    Nadal needs to play much better than this, or Cilic will destroy him. This match was extremely frustrating. I don't know what happened after the third round, but he did not pay this badly in his first 3 matches. Luckily, he did start to look a little better later in the third set. But he can't afford a horrendous start like this against Cilic.

    What a shitty "highlights" making view Nadal like if he won the match with no many effort, Schwartman hit more winners and did 12 aces to Nadal and you put like just 2 or 3 points he won??? This really don't show how much Nadal had to suffer against Schwartzman

    I really cannot bear to watch Nadal on court...his demeanour, mannerisms, total personality is freaking infuriating to say the least! The only time I unfortunately have to watch him is when he's up against Roger.

      Agree. But look at it this way...when he is so energetic at the very start of the season, he will have at least two injuryperiods in his 2018 calender.
      1-march, indian wells, key biscayne
      2-grass season
      3-august, Canada and cincintty
      4-all after US open
      So at least two of these periods he will have an injury. I guess 2 and 4.

      Chi Javier I used to think just like you a few years ago, but now I kinda like him more because of his mannerisms and personality on court. I respect him a lot, and I hope for a Fedal final again. It would be awesome.
