@abovebeyondandforever6571 so I did sbr mine, and so far I have no complaints, the detent isn't great when it's folded but I'm not running and gunning with it folded so that is a non-issue for me. The triangle brace was much lighter so the detent was decent. I personally love the f5 stock
I think an AR15 makes more sense for someones first rifle. Jakl is for people who are looking for the perks of a Long Stroke Piston. (Fold, More suppressor friendly, Charging handle preference)
Definitely different, but the idea is that pound for pound you could get a more proven system with some premium components as compared to the jakl. The folding stock and all the features of the jakl are cool, just a very new system that I wouldn’t be fully trusting of as much as say a BCM or DD upper, which would cost about on par with the jakl
@@DurstyGaming an adjustable gas block for a DI gun works pretty well for suppressing. Something like the superlative bleed off system is fantastic, and still get to keep the normal AR platform
PSA has improved, but their QC consistency issues still deters me from getting anything from PSA. This would be the gun I’d get from PSA because of side charging handle and not a freaking D.I.
Not surprised. Their QC is trash. They force their employees to assemble an almost impossible amount of rifles, uppers, etc.. per shift, otherwise they get wrote up and punished. PSA is 100% about quantity over quality. And 1st Shot gets a percentage of anything he sells from PSA.
Same issue with mine. I'm sure they sent him one that was assembled with care so no issues would be had. Then they send us the shit they pump out without qc
Recently got a Dagger full size. Call me crazy, but it shoots better than my G19X with over 1.5k in modifications. Maybe is the grip angle? Oh and BTW, the Dagger has been 100% reliable with over 1k rounds on it.
1. Don't buy the first generation of ANY new gun. Wait for the other guys to find the issues, and save yourself the money. (Here's looking at you Sig) 2. PSA QC is absolutely atrocious. I've had several build kits from them, including the Premium and Freedom lines. Some are great, some are complete dog crap that should have never been sold. 3. I don't dislike PSA, but the "fanbase" is so annoying. No, it isn't better than a BCM or DD. If a PSA is all you can afford, that's fine. Stop trying to downplay quality rifles over a $400 build. 4. The JAKL is a really cool idea. I'm not sure who it's supposed to appeal to though. Like others have said, you can get a BCM upper, on a PSA or Aero lower, and have a proven system with a massive aftermarket. Idk, just seems like an option for people who want something different, not necessarily better.
Can't use a magpul bad lever on it. Not enough space, since the thumb area for the bolt lever is enshrouded so closely by the upper. I'm working on a fix for that.
Double check your statement on the bolt release and B.A.D. Lever. B.A.D. Lever won’t work. Another bolt catch/release might if you grind the backside down.
I’m not sure 500 or 1K rounds is a good test of lasting quality and endurance. Any inherent reliability issues will surface early but when it comes to the life of a rifle I think this just scratches the surface.
I have to say it’s a damn good looking gun but idk about the stock. Also I haven’t seen someone take one into a high round count and see what the internals look like.
I have a jakl but I do regret buying it. I agree with a lot of other people if you don’t have a rifle yet, don’t make this you’re first rifle. Better options are out there on the market, geiselle and bravo company make some pretty nice stuff. Daniel Defense and colt as well or even FN…
@slowmo7500 that is false. Maybe if you weren't a gatekeeping asshole and would learn to read. The first 3 gas settings are for milspec ammo i.e m855, m193 etc with the setting being for either suppressed or unsupressed shooting, the next five are for lower power .223 either suppressed or unsupressed. 4 o'clock ejection is perfect for an AR15 not necessarily the jakl. The jakl is not an ar15 anymore than an ak is. Yet the jakl has a long stroke gas piston so by your logic it should be launching brass like an ak.
PSA being known for doing significantly more specialized QC on guns they send out for review, this shows what they could build if they actually cared about quality. Not necessarily what they do build, or what the average buyer would get. And yea, Magpul mags are just about the most overrated AR mags on the market.
I have the jakl in 300 blk, havent shot it suppressed but i do have 710 rounds down range with zero malfunctions
How is that stock? There are a few complaints coming in about it not being stable, your thoughts please.

Jakl is a cool concept, but for the same price you can get a BCM upper and a pretty tricked out lower.
Totally different style rifle though. Piston vs DI.

Nobody puts 500 rounds in a day unless they have a UA-cam channel and want to do a test.
