      You will have to check for it online. The LQS that I purchased it from is out.

      Charm squares are 5” square. By cross cutting a layer cake which is 10” square you will get the equivalent of 4 charm packs. Hope that helps.

    Do you need four charm packs for this quilt?

    • @sisterofthedivide1153
      @sisterofthedivide1153  День тому

      No. The number of charm packs will dictate the size of your quilt. You can make a simple table topper with one block or a table runner with 3-4 blocks.

    My granddaughter from Pocatello has taken to making quilts and wants to know if there's anywhere she could go in the area to learn more? I live in Pennsylvania and would love to help her from adar😊

      Have her check in with her local quilt shop and also they can direct her to the various quilt guilds in our area. They will have great instruction. Have her follow me on UA-cam and I am happy to answer questions for her and provide direction ❤️

    Pressing seam open is the way the ladies quilting 100 years ago did it. None of this press to dark side or all this new dangle ideas people have come up with. We have quilts around that are 80 -90 years old proves the old time quilters new what they were doing. Why change it

      It can work to your favor for nesting seams. But you are correct, there is no reason not to press open. We sew with machines generally rather than hand piece now a days so the seams are sturdier. Same with binding!

    Very nice, but PLEASE close your rotary cutter when you set it down. It’s too easy to reach for it without looking and grab the open blade. Let’s teach good habits to new quilters. Thank you and keep on making your amazing videos.
