- this song was inspired by The Stranger by Albert Camus
Standing on a beach
With a gun in my hand
Staring at the sea
Staring at the sand
Staring down the barrel
At the arab on the ground
See his open mouth
But hear no sound
I'm alive
I'm dead
I'm the stranger
Killing an arab
I can turn and walk away
Or I can fire the gun
Staring at the sky
Staring at the sun
Whichever I choose
It amounts to the same
Absolutely nothing
I'm alive
I'm dead
I'm the stranger
Killing an arab
Feel the steel butt jump
Smooth in my hand
Staring at the sea
Staring at the sand
Staring at myself
Reflected in the eyes of
The dead man on the beach
The dead man
On the beach
I'm alive
I'm dead
I'm the stranger
Killing an arab.
This is one of my favorite songs of by The Cure.
Cause you're a racist.
Robert Smith is a badass on guitar.
I wish they didn’t have that damn forest covering his performance. I wanted to see him, but it was so blurred!
come closer and see
The original gets taken down so they gotta hide it
@@blackferdinand2260 yeah, i remember seeing this before and i was looking again and not finding...
The most loved song for me.🥰😍🤗
I never knew he was such a great guitarist.
Robert Smith? Oh he can play.
@@smidon I'm going through their albums now. I liked them back then but information on bands wasn't so readily available.
"Search for Jehovah while he may yet be found"~ bible. He's bringing 'man-ruling man' to a screeching halt.
@@rosskstar Jehovah is God Almighty.

😅😅😅 he was with the banshees on and off 😅😅
Someone discovered the harmonic minor. A 💎 of a live performance !!
I can turn and walk away
Or I can fire the gun
Staring at the sky
Staring at the sun
Whichever I choose
It amounts to the same
Love all the songs of The CURE !
Meathook included? >:3
Robert Smith has a baby face here. So handsome!
There's a beautiful, hi-quality version of the entire performance on the competitor streaming network "V him E Ohh" with the blue and white logo: "The Cure live paris 1979 (full version)"
omg thank you so much for this comment
Play this every day.
Genial q bueno, buenísimo muy copado mil gracias loco. Los mejores del mundo e inmortales 🖤 2022...
Great once u get in that vibe, forget everyday society for a bit
Wow
hadn't seen this version thanks! What's up with the halloween background graphics?!?!
UA-cam doesn't allow me to upload the video, so i have to edit it.
@@loveliness1219 Well done, thank you.
They are one tight punk quartet.
I can't believe I was 3 here! 😳 And, there's my sexy Simon. 💋
He’s not playing with band here
@@thefirstordervideos4784this was late 1979 so that was indeed simon :)
Dempsey, Smif and Lol Tolhurst on drums! Clearly Lol wasn't a total "lol" at the kit and could play a bit
gallup on bass
Politicamente incorreto.😊
They had a better version of this live coverage, I guess they took it down:(
How am I supposed to cry to this bullshit?
Try their softer songs lol
Thx to Bankstown police

Read my explanation in French, horrible title but he stole the thème from the French novelist Albert Camus about a crime on the sport of the moment without abny motive. Robert aged 20 was and remains an Angel
@@laurence.MusicAndSights that was my opinion (i like cats)
😂😂😂
What's so funny
Kurt Cobain ? Fuck off. He's great. Hate this fucking bad world as he did. Love Cobain and CURE
What does that even means ?
Is a song from the novel The Stranger written by Albert Camus
@@mg-zh2rg To be precise, it is a song, based, not from... The novel.
Precisely isn't the proper use, I realized.
There's 1967 complete italian movie directed by Luchino Visconti with Marcello Mastroianni on UA-cam.
it means you need to read more books, ideally more of the french existentialism genre.
@@mg-zh2rg It wasn't a grammatical correction, my pal. I just meant to say the song is based on, but doesn't come from the novel. Ciao.
The high tempo ruins the song.
