In the entire movie, with the most amazing cast, every one, this was the scene that shattered me. He is so vulnerable, and all the hurt and pain in his life is all there, "there goes that dream" Keoghan deserves an Oscar for that 😥
I think Siobhan represents compassion and empathy, and when she leaves the island it’s doomed. Kind of a broader perspective on war, when we forget those things it never ends up good.
Just this scene makes Barry Keoghan the brilliant actor that he is. Phenomenal acting, all kinds of subtle layers, it really is incredible. Even after seeing this scene for over 20 times, I still get tears in my eyes. Phenomenal.
The transformation or change, whatever you'd say, from being someone's drinking buddy to confessing his love, the expressions and the pronunciation through his eyes is just unbelievable! 🤯❤
This character could have been the wrong kind of eccentric with a different actor, but Barry Keoghan made it so beautiful.
Heart breaking scene. Such a great movie… you either get it, or you don’t.
Dominic was the stand-out among an incredible group of characters. Great, great movie.
Incredible. The performance of the year for me. Give him an Oscar!
my heart hurts for his character, he feels so real and tragic. Barry Keoghan did an amazing job
Absolutely heart-wrenching. This scene caught me completely off guard.
For anyone who's not aware, Barry is also in Christopher Nolan's Dunkirk and HBO's Chernobyl.
There goes that dream, and the only sliver of hope keeping him going.
This is probably the most painful onscreen rejection.
Me asking my graphic design teacher out when I was eighteen. I'm still cringing in agony twenty years later.

This man is one of the futures brightest stars
These two should have Oscar best supporting actor nominations at least, outstanding performances.
Still can’t believe the range of this actor after watching saltburn xD
If any of these incredible actors get snubbed at the Oscars: "well there goes that dream"
This scene and character was so heartbreaking 💔
