You must have deep pockets to be able to visit luxurious ryokans (which I can only dream of staying for just a single night), so this paltry amount might not mean much to you. However, I would like to show my appreciation for the insightful annotations you add to the video when the subtitles are enabled. They help me to understand Japanese culture so much better while these groups of energetic people dance. You are doing good work, and I hope you continue to enjoy life, exploration and filming, regardless of your income from this channel.
Thank you so much for your kind words and support!☺️ We truly appreciate your contribution, and it will definitely help us continue creating videos. Your support helps keep this channel going. Please feel free to keep watching and enjoying our content in the future🙏💖
Oh my, the opening of the video really hit me in a strangely emotional way 😅😮😢😊 That performance and music went through my soul ❣️ Been somewhat teary the whole video, it reminds me of Irish marching bands, my heritage, and this hits exactly the same ❤ Wow! I love the festivals and I hope to see more on your channel, arigatou gozaimasu 🙏
I have had the good fortune to see Awa odori twice and this video captures the joy and magic of the festival. Thank you for sharing this wonderful experience.
I lived in Tokushima for two years. The first year I attended Awa Odori I was amazed, the 2nd year I was drenched! It rained soooo hard, but no one, dancers or spectators was deterred. It's really something!
What a spectacle . . . Simply amazing. I love to watch them since i found this channel and especially the variety of different things in Japan, with all kind of informations and details. Combining entertainment with education. I may never be able to visit Japan for myself, so thank you from the bottom of my heart for your videos! c:
Good evening from the U.K, just come across your post and it's amazing, hope everyone had a fantastic time, all the dancers were awesome and music was fantastic, so happy you're showing and sharing keeping your traditions alive, I hope you have more festivals to share, thanks ❤❤❤❤
Love the little kids - they don't know exactly what they are doing dance wise, but the shouting is on point. 👶 And I laughed out loud at the lighting bolts on the costumes of the student dancers.
I really loved this video and I really loved the fact is the participants are participating the traditional dance at the festival and the music itself is so beautiful 😊
Thank you so much. I loved all the different Ren. I can't choose a favorite, but my favorite part of the video was the solo flute. Beautiful. Wonderful video!
Thank you for your work. Your videos showed us such a beauty in Japan . We adore all the hot springs hotels and all the traditional culture of Japan . Greetings from the Gulf of Mexico💖
Very nice video. Amazing performances. The kids were too kawaii and the ladies were very beautiful and elegant. Beautiful costumes. Will have to add this to my bucket list to see when I visit Japan again. The “dancers and watchers are fools, so you may as well dance” was too funny.
That was a well put together video 👏! I had a ring side seat this year via live streams from a couple of tv channels and other sources, which I was able to witness various areas performances! Not to forget The private camera streaming the area at the bridge! The atmosphere was palpable and was disappointed when it all ended! My favourites are Godyahei ren ( which 3 of the women were interviewed in this video) and Kikusui ren! Excellent video and thank you. 🙇♂️
I have just started watching this video, and it looks amazing. I would gladly pay for a reserved seat, to see those traditional dances in a traditional festival. Your channel is really great, I love it a lot. Your style is so relaxed and interesting, and the videos you share with us, are great (I love the ryokan, love hotels and special accommodations like the mongolian village). Thanks a lot for your great work and dedication.
I can only imagine the practice and time that each person in these groups put into their craft. And performing day after day when its super hot... Its very impressive.
Thank you for your information about the best way to see the dances. Also I learned more about the dynamics of the bands. Rain seems to always arrive at planned outdoor events even back here in New York State. Rained on our day outing for the county fair. The university band was my favorite ❤
😍😍😍 💕💕💕💕💕💕 🇺🇦
It is so amazing that traditional culture in Japan is being maintained and prospering inspite of the country being so modernised. Perfect balance of modernity with tradition.
@@swissfoodie3542 Wow schon 3 mal dort gewesen?

I was impressed by the male dancers in happi coats - they dance with their fans so wildly, like they are skinning invisible enemies
I participated Awa odori as a dancer in this year:)
Thus this video reminds me of my time dancing Awa odori. It was soooo exciting😊

At 21:48 that tall good looking dancer had it going on, ❣. All the rens were fabulous, but I liked the ones with the bells Maji

It is not "diverse " it is purely Japanese.. and that's what makes it great. Diversity waters everything down.
