- I recently got to spend a few hours with the 2021 Toyota Corolla XSE. It's a very competent and surprisingly nice small car, and is definitely worth a look in the compact sedan segment.

I just got a new 2022 Toyota Corolla LE, super awesome. You won't regret buying this, man.
Aye great vid bro, I don’t know shit about cars but this was still entertaining 😂
I agree with you Andrew that this 2021 Corolla is the best looking in it's class! Also, the CVT in the SE/XSE trims has a physical first gear which means you will have better off the line acceleration compared to a normal CVT.
Still not the biggest fan of cvts either way haha but thanks for sharing, did not know that!
Yeah, I imagine hell trying to drive a manual in a Corolla CVT.
Just so you know, ALL Corolla CVTs have a real first gear.
@@afcgeo882 Any proof to back that up? As far as I know, the Corolla L trims have the old school CVT with no first gear.
@@afcgeo882 The 1.8L and hybrids don't have a real first gear. The hatchback only has a single engine option, which for the automatic is the 2L engine with the launch gear + CVT.
Hi, i have a corolla se 2021 with the 2.0 engine, does this version has the same?
Yep, it does!
A bit disappointing the stitching doesn't continue on the seats. Good review though man!
Thanks! Yeah it would be neat, although you can get the textured inserts in blue instead of grey too, which I forgot to mention.
I mean, I own a 2022 and the seats are held together by zippers. I kinda like it..
@@infamousnationfan The seats aren’t held together by zippers. The seat covers have side zippers on them to make it easier to put them on and take them off.
I do like the looks of the Corolla, but only in XSE form, and preferrably the hatch. Having said that, nothing in the class tops the Mazda 3 for looks...but again, only the trims with 18" wheels. The Corolla looks sporty and Japanese, but the Mazda looks like it came out of an Italian coachbuilder/design house...and the interior is also a cut above the Corolla.
Very nice but slightly under powered. I think 175-190hp would have been nicer. These are rated at 169hp?
It is indeed 169hp/151tq. Of course a little more power would always be nice, but I honestly don't think most people buying these would notice the difference. It has plenty of power already for day to day usage
@@AlsoAndrew Your correct. Corolla is not a "sports car"
