the B777-200 ER is BA's international long haul workhorse, which will have to be replaced with additional 53 - 58 brand new B787-10, A350-1000 HGW & A350-900 ULR wide body jets . . . divert half of it's upcoming fleet of 26 brand new A320-200 Neo to it's regional full service subsidiary BA Euro Flyer . . . the British full service carrier legacy is still one of the best by far, in terms of it's services offered . . . a flag carrier still very sought after by the world . . .

They need to get their existing fleet up to a good standard. The amount of unserviceable IFE's I've seen in premium economy over the last year is just silly. And then there's the tray tables there that are so broken you have to hold your food tray onto the table with one hand so it doesn't slide off.
I've had both those issues on different flights.
I fly with them for work, so I don't mind as I'm not the one paying, but for my trip to Canada next year, I'll probably choose Air Canada, just because I don't think BA are worth the price they charge.

The 777s are more Heavily-Engineered and are a better Workhorse than the A350s and I believe BA are a lot more loyal to their Boeing Company for Their wide-bodied Twin-Engined Aircrafts. Both manufacturers are worthy of applause 🙏🏾❤️

    • @nntflow7058

@@mmm0404 But etihad never actually have B777-200ER. The have 5 B777-200LR back in the day, but it was used mainly for US flights.
They also uses A350-1000 to replace B777-300ER. The don't need aircraft with the range and size of B777-200ER or A350-900 to begin with.
Unlike BA, etihad is located in Abu Dhabi. Most of their routes are serviceable using B787-10 since it's pretty centralized location wise.
Many of the BA's long haul routes are significantly longer compared to Etihads.
Hence why they utilize B777-200ER more.

While I love the mighty A380, it was a bit disappointing that neither the 380 nor the A350 have live cams in comparison to Air France’s and other Airbus operators. On the other hand, I really enjoyed the World Traveller Plus product on the 787 and A380 respectively, which I found them good value for money although I was not really impressed by the IFE.
