Approaching 1000 Aircraft! United Airlines' Fleet In 2024
Вставка

- The mainline fleet of United Airlines is massive. With 950 aircraft at the time of this video’s production, it's just slightly smaller than the mainline fleet at American, which currently boasts 967 jets. However, all of this will change over the next few months as more new aircraft arrive at the carrier.

I think the A350 order is smart timing. as Scott Kirby, would use the 787-10's to replace their domestic 777-200's and any domestic 777 routes. For the longer ETOPS routes, the A350's are a better replacement based off capacity and range.
Would love to see united bring the xlr to Manchester
Me Too Man however Airbus A321XLR will need to be fully Certified first before there Delivered to United Airlines and many other Airlines Orders.
Same
Love when you do these fleet videos. Keep them coming 😅
Ove the thing when sam gives us sneek peek into next episode pls keep this up. Cant wait
As reported earlier, any Max orders abandoned by United will be snapped up by other airlines, especially Ryanair.
I like what United is doing with their new interiors... wishing American would follow suit
why is it only united pulling away from max 10 but not american, or delta???
@@aaroneisengart9887 United is NOT pulling away from the Max 10. They're removing the aircraft from their schedules because they have no idea when Boeing will deliver the aircraft. There's an indication that United may cancel the Max 10 order for the A321, but Airbus will have to either cancel or push back another airline's order to fit United in. I don't see that happening.
I wonder if these a350s will be taken up or is it also a strategy to stall while looking for crew rather than converting pilots for other types
@@Tpr_1808It doesn’t take long to crew aircraft.
@@Tpr_1808 I think it goes beyond that. United doesn't have infrastructure for the maintenance of Airbus widebody aircraft, so there will be significant cost involved with bringing in the type.
I Love watching this Video on United Airlines since it flies to All Destinations in The Caribbean and European Cities and Beyond.
Long haul by simple fly is very good for aviation .
Do a fleet examination for Delta
I can do that! AirJunk,AirJunk, with most orders are AirJunk! Few 737,757,767’s but are being replaced by AirJunk! I loved the 777 flights to JNB but now it’s AirJunk 350’s
Funny name for the Seattle company... Must be weird hearing there's a manufacturer that doesn't panic and prioritise profits over safety to the point of deliberate concealment from the FAA and International regulators. @@MarktheSharkC
@@MarktheSharkC ??? The new Airbus are so much better lol
@@MarktheSharkC the 350s are superior
@@Tpr_1808 to what? A toilet maybe? No comparison with a Dreamliner! Sorry!
United need to take care of their maintenance dept
Pay attention to the aviation novelty MS-21 400. Pay attention to the new PD-14 engine, this engine is made of stronger alloys and starts from the spot on the car, the speed is much higher, which contributes to long-distance flight in a shorter time...
You may need to do a section about Ethiopian Airlines. Especially recently it plans to buy 20 Boeing- 777-X-9 with a 8 firm order. It was an exciting news for the hyped and popular B777-X fans.
OK except that will the 777x. become the 777max?
The current CEO has been spending like crazy on planes
More are expected over the next few months
Wow, almost like record profits means corporations spend record amounts on upgrading their operations...
@@GintaPPE1000don’t be a dick
Could you do Air France next please
With the right amount of wheels?
during the united 787 and 737 max video i was focusing more on united production rather than him talking🤣🤣
So basically United's procurement strategy is the same as Lufthansa, buy every single type of aircraft out there. In other words, no strategy at all.
There are just not enough airplanes in the world currently. Production is far short of demand, and getting shorter due to production delays at both Airbus and especially Boeing. Any functioning airplane within its service life is worth its weight in gold for the foreseeable future.
Comac is at least a decade away from possibly breaking into the wider airliner market, and maybe never. Many major airlines are now begging regional jet producers like Embraer to try and develop a mainline sized aircraft to help alleviate the shortage.
In the meantime carriers that are trying to expand will just keep snapping up whatever they can get their hands on
What about their A350 order?
i wish they ordered the new 777-9
Hoping United deploys most of their Airbus from ORD. That plane just feels different (roomier, more comfortable) compared to the roller coaster, open air 737 death box.
how is the 737 a death box
I think airlines of the USA🇺🇸, have fleets more than a thousand airplanes
united is almost like a Southwest that flies lots of international route, so Boeing heavy. The other 2 legacy carriers are much more balanced
The irony is that all my united fights have been on Airbus.
If its a Boeing, are you still going?😊😀😃
@@dereksollows9783 well..... I'll go on anything that's not Eastern European.
Used to be united had more than that.
why would american invest in the 737 max 10 just when boeing has even more issues with the max and right after united pulled away??. Dont forget delta still has orders for the 737-10 as well and they never said anything about canceling how do they trust in the plane. Why do any of the 737 max airlines trust this plane at a time when theres uncertainty with boeing. Shouldnt they be skeptical after the 2 crashes AND the door plug AND the engine AND the whistle blowers.................etc
Of all the times to make a United video
*Check your description.*
Thanks for letting us know about the error! We've fixed it.
that's 38 X B767-300 ER & 26 X B767-400 ER . . . other than the first B767-200 all other iterations of the B767 are ER variants . . . even including the B767-300 ERF . . . United should retire their fleet of B737-900 & B737-700 asap, not to mention the B777-200 . . . note, Delta Airlines also operate 26 B767-400 ER which is a further stretched of the B767-300 ER . . .
We have 16 b767-400er..
Do they come with wheels though
or cracks. from airbus with a321s! dude stop that hype please
The United fleet (and also from other US Airlines) is (are) completely outdated. In Europe we have much younger fleets. As long as they not will renew their fleet I would never fly with an US carrier.
I live in EWR area so normally United makes sense as my loyalty airline. However their heavy reliance on 737 Maxes makes me avoid them and take extra mile to use other airlines out of EWR or even use JFK.
That’s irrational, and cowardly
@@CongressSux1776 Yes indeed. American Airlines, especially southwest have many 737 max in their fleet, while delta has them in order too.
...they said before the Alaska Air incident@@CongressSux1776 If you still trust Boeing, great! Reach out to me I have a bargain bridge for sale. Its called Brooklyn Bridge and I am selling it only for 100K :)
True but United is very heavliy relying on Maxes in EWR, it is almost impossible to find a non Max flight whereas it is very easy to find one from AA or DL or Jet Blue. DL currently has none which is great. At least for a while I don't want to be a guinea pig. After a couple of years, we will see@@Markh7772
@@CongressSux1776 … they said before the Air Alaska incident. Do you see the new max accident happened today? Well if you trust boeing, great do so. I have great news for you: I am selling a bargain bridge called Brooklyn Bridge in the middle of the City, only 99K 🤣
The 757s are dinosaurs.
They’re dinosaurs but they’re my dinosaurs
.
I think it would be wise to pick the A350 over the 777X.
But they keep delaying it
Well, I know which one I would want to fly on. it aint the 777max
@@johnchristmas7522 the 737 max is fine what are you worried about.
This video quite literally cursed United in the past 24 hours
Edit/Update: 4th incident in 4 days for united, you guys really cursed the poor airline.

“If it’s Boeing,I ain’t going”
Ewwnited
Amazing considering the poor service they provide. I myself avoid flying United
I wish United would come to our Airport so I could change air carrier! United is a Boeing majority carrier. Delta is in Airjunks pocket so I would change if I could! I love the Max and the 787 Dreamliners!
Neither company has a perfect safety record
Agreed. I'm a huge fan of United just because of their Boeing loyalty
@@grandmaster1984 much of that was inherited from the merger with Continental. Sadly, Boeing in the last 25 years under bean counting management isn’t the Boeing that greatly engaged Continental.
You need to talk to the ex Boeing engineers!
