Great summary, Ryan. Love all your stuff, and it's helping me really change my mindset on all of this (getting out of the artist cave, not making music a money sink but a revenue generator). Excited to see I actually have about 100 fans who have stuck around through my promotion campaigns, and I totally get it now how to see who those are (those getting refreshed through their own playlists) whereas before I think I would have just been looking at "followers" which seems much tougher to grow. Thanks!
I watched your video on how you can switch distributors and keep all your streams. I’m switching from distrokid to tunecore. I have both singles still up on all streaming platforms through distrokid. Now I set a re release for both of my songs today. They are suppose to be released on tunecore on March 18, because they said you want to give the stores a few weeks to get the songs on the platforms. How long should I wait before removing the songs from distrokid?
Hey man! Just curious why you’re switching from Distrokid to TuneCore? Because I was recently considering switching from TuneCore go distrokid because it seem to be cheaper if you release more than one song per year..
I heard that Podcast and Episode Analytics are web-only. That means that apart from web scraping, there is no way to access this data with automated tool?
I asked Spotify why my artist on "This is Heidi Hauge" playlist made by Spotify was placed as track two same time as she releasing a new single while track one is an old song where she is a guest artist on a duet, this old release is from a bigger record company. Every week they change the playlist except for the old song which has nothing to do with my releases. Spotify has not answered me. Seems like Spotify and big labels run their show as they want.
There is a lower tier called the "Artist Account" that's only $20. You don't need to pay the $140 like they advertise for the full premium account. That is way overpriced for an individual artist... it's more geared towards labels anyways. The artist account is a good option if only need to really see your own stats!

Give it about a month of overlap.

Are there any other Chart Metric competitors??
Spot On Track but Chartmetric artist account is around the same price.

Very interesting insight. Yes the major labels are part owners of Spotify so you wouldn't be wrong.
I've done a Pre-Release through Distrokid I already have a Prior Release that Shows on Spotify! My Pre-Release Does Not Show Up??? Why Is That?
I'm not the person to ask about specific Distrokid features because they banned me from their platform :) Contact support@distrokid.com
@@IndieMusicAcademy How did you get ban from distokid?
@@alexandergaray1002 Good question! I made a video explaining the whole thing here: ua-cam.com/video/eYUknhwd1Y8/v-deo.html
How to get influencers to promote music
chartmetric is way too expensive for starters
