@carexpertandy I have no idea how old they are or if they were bought at the same time. This one is odd in the fact it was repainted grey. Its hard to see in the sun lite on this camera. The others in town are all yellow. We were out of ideas on what to record and KDK likes the Cyclones. He was in school, last day for the year, so I went and got this one.
I noticed that it was gone a few months ago along with most other Cyclones. Didn't know where the new one was relocated to. Do you have an address or intersection where it is at? I don't travel that side of town much. Thanks for the update. Hope all is going well with you friend! Are you still at the job you were at before? Haven't seen you there for a while.
@@kdksiren It's down by Academy at the end of 45th. Yeah I'm still around and doing good moved up to Assistant Manager which is alright I guess but now I have to deal with training people which has proven to be an unreal nightmare sometimes.
@@TheSleepyMechanic0524 All but a handful. Down to the last Cyclone, and the last P-15. A couple of STL-10's left as well. I'd argue you could call all of the 2001's within city limits "old" as they're all in their 30's by now.
@CL137626 This siren isn't made anymore. The Sentry 40v2t is twice as loud and uses much less power and has the same 2/3 port ratio as the Cyclone and it's still made.
@garsofwar5 It's too bad they don't make them anymore. Except for the fact they are not battery backup, they are great, maintenance free sirens. And they are LOUD! Don't know why there are not more out there. There are, I think, 6 of them here.
@CL137626 They are good. But if you had one, you better check on power supply. These bad boys are 480V and pull a large amount of amps, especially at startup, due the 50 HP motor on top. Will make the lights dim in the neighbor hood! Thanks..
@CL137626 I don't think you understand how decibles relate to sound. Every step in 3 decibles is twice the sound pressure. Therefore, the 40v2t is twice as loud as the Cyclone (maybe even slightly more than that) at 100 feet.
@CL137626 I'm not, I promise. I was actually trying to re-assure you that there ARE still very good and scary sirens being made. The Sentry 40v2t is the best of the best nowadays.
@CL137626 MisterTwister55 has a video or two of cyclones around Three Mile Island. They are not too popular but around here they are plentiful. There are 7 here in Amarillo, 1 in Canyon just south of here and 6 in Hereford, SW of here. Good Sirens!
It really is amazing that they don't. Plainview doesn't have any either. 2 cities that have been hit in my lifetime by large devostating tornados and yet they still rely on reverse 9-11.
I've sent you a couple of videos for your consideration. I'm like what your video shows a WARNING ! Please check them out... I have 30 gigs of footage and many people around here are concerned why these fleets of jets can just spray us and, "NO one know anything.. they don't even see the jets?" Thanks for your video on the "warning,".. I'm like that too.. the EPA BETA monitors were shut off 4 days after I posted up on how high the radiation was in Amarillo at times higher than Fukushima..
The shelter in place alarm sirens around the Oil refineries in Richmond Benecia and Martinez Calif. are gray ACA Cyclones.Definitely cool sirens......
@neosho53059 yes, we have seen the T-121 on video. Wish there was one around here to hear in person. Thanks

As of around 5 months ago this one was removed and replaced with a 508 about a mile down the road.

At this point all of Amarillo's old sirens are gone.

The ACA cyclone is a omni dericional version of the ACA P-50

@MrSciencetificsasuke They basically are, same port ratio (8/12) same 50 HP motor.
The Sentries are the best of the best apparently. According to their site; there are more than 5,000 of them installed worldwide!

Sorta. The rotor/ chopper in the Cyclone is a lot larger and as such has a 50 HP motor to power the beast.
I personally like the ACA P-50. I believe it has the same chopper as this, but if I'm not mistaken is rated at 135 decibels. It is loud.
Theodore TePaske It sure is. And if I'm not mistaken, the ASC T-135 is the loudest tornado siren.
UPDATE
This siren was taken down because of a new building being placed there.

@hobbeekid Didn't know that. Wish there was a pict/ video of them.
@goldcat202 Yes, the only one that color we have seen. Must have been repainted by the city.
This one must be newer than most of the other ones in the area
There’s a federal signal 2001 srn in interstate motel

Experienced this particular siren from maybe 5 or 6 feet away last test day.
This is the same siren as Aca banshee and screamer but with different housing.
this cyclone sounds identical to the aca p50 is it just me or does it actully sound like an p 50
Ábbéy Máddóx I believe the cyclone and the P-50 have the same port ratio
is that a gray cyclone?
Hey kdk! Hope you guys are OK down there with the shooting :(
Hasnt been active recently which isnt good...
@kdksiren wow did not know that... and what can 2001s do??? nothing acp look bad on a pole :D
A grey cyclone? Amazing!
@CL137626 When the hell was I snappy? Do you have aspergers or something? If that's the case I'm terribly sorry.
