I've started to get into irrigation again and I have a few Vids on my channel of mostly impact sprinklers and I do have one weathertec 10 30d that's dual nozzle. that post you made on murrfarms channel that u remember a pivot that your dad had with impacts were they rainbird weathertec or senninger? also did that have a end gun? possibly a nelson pc100 fast reverse? I know of a few farmers here that have p200s on travelers. those are so awesome
I don't have any sprinkler vids. The pivot I was talking about was for a farmer I once worked for. It had 3 wells to supply the water. Was very long. It did have a cannon on the end with a booster pump and shot well over 100'. Was a pain in the ass! I hated working on that thing. It had Nelson impact heads on it. Really old and broke down almost daily. Gear boxes and flat tires. Micro switches that failed and electrical problems. He was just to cheap to buy a new system. Waiting for retirement. I work on a golf course with 2 eighteen hole courses. About 3000 valve in head Rainbird 900E's and 91DR's. All computer controlled. Runs at 110 PSI. 2 pump stations with 3 vertical turbine pumps each at 75 HP. VFD's. Wishing Ian (murrfarms) would come here at help me with video of system running. BTW, this is KDKsirens dad answering as he is really busy and not into sirens so much anymore. In college now. Thanks for question. KDKsiren dad.
@@Butters_yes They used a local auction company yrs ago. Not sure now. Don't know how often they have auctions either. Since all the old sirens are gone, I'm sure there won't be any up for auction for a while. Could be wrong though. Sorry. Not very helpful on this subject as we never went to one.
Hey KDK Siren Wolfforth Texas has sirens but think their are hooked up to Lubbock Tornado Siren system because in Wolfforth Texas there's four sirens 2 FS 2001's and 2 ACA P-10's I believe the P-10 by the Brownfield Highway isn't working still there's also FS 2001 by the Brownfield Highway and ACA P-10 by Frenship High School near Tiger Stadium and a FS 2001 in a new Residential Area I believe that both FS 2001's are on Attack mode and the 2 ACA P-10's are on Alert Mode.
I don't want to say that I've moved on but we recorded every make of siren in Amarillo. They are replacing all the "Old" ones with 508's so nothing new there. Going to school and working full time makes it a bit tough too. However, we do miss it!! I do look at all the comment's that still show up and try to respond when needed. I do appreciate all the views and comments! If time permits I may go out and catch a test when they do them. Thanks so much for the questions and comments. Hard to believe this all started 10 + years ago. Had good times and met a lot of great people!
Thanks! If there was an area around with more sirens that we haven't already recorded, we would be on that. But most are 2001's and 508's. All the old Amarillo system has been replaced.

Siren isn't Standing anymore they either got rid of that cyclone or something else. But Now There is a Federal Signal 508 Sitting on top of the building
Yes. There are few Penetrators or Cyclones left. A few SD-10's and STL-10's left too. There is still a Cyclone at 27th and S. Grand. That was the first siren we ever recorded. The SD-10 at Bishop Hills is still there. There is a 2T22 off of Wilbur St by S. Georgia Elementary too.

Yes. There are 2 by Affiliated Foods on S. Washington. I believe they belong to the company. They sound when Amarillo tests their sirens. They sound in attack. I have a video on a camera somewhere from a few yrs back that I never uploaded. Not sure where camera is. If I find it and camera works, I will upload sometime.

Do you know where Amarillo puts all their old sirens?
Last I knew they put them up for auction. I assume they still do.

It would be nice if they refurbished one of their cyclones and put it back or if they just refurbished all of them instead of replace them.
Might be stopping at Amarillo in the next year or so to go visit family in Albuquerque. When do they test again?

This siren seems to peak at 98% pitch, then slowly acheive 100%.
