- This is a video of an ACA Cyclone in the Hereford, Texas Outdoor Siren System. The system is comprised of several Cyclones, and two Federal Signal SD-10 sirens. The sirens are tested the first Wednesday of every month [Mar-Aug] at 9:00AM. Their primary function is the early warning of severe weather, however they can be used for other events as well. This particular unit is located at N 13th St. and US HWY 385. It sits in the mall parking lot.
This is the exact siren I went to a few months ago
Still healthy?
I just did a tour not a test@@Igangbangdetriotgangmembers
I’ve heard it Plenty of times and very effective, as a Long time Resident of Hereford, Texas
@spotandtiggerbug According to someone from Sentry, it is very expensive to develop a different chopper/rotor (they use casting to build their parts) so they would kinda have to stick with what they already have unless the person buying the siren wants to pay a hefty price. I think they should've gone with 8/12 rather than 8/16 for their other dual tone sirens, but 10/15 was chosen to make the 40v2t give out its immense sound level.
Wow, thats a clear video. You can really see the dirt shoot out upon activation. At least this one has all it's parts on it. Not so nekid! Had a great time. Thanks!
Cyclone put in police station roof in all Taiwan.
Woah! It's amazing how many birds could fit on that sign! At least until the neighbour shooed his company away... LOL
Nice siren! It sounds really healthy.
@spotandtiggerbug If they can have an 8 port chopper from the other models and a 10 port chopper from the 40v2t, they should make an 8/10 40v2t. It probably wouldn't be as loud and 10/15 certainly does not sound bad.
why does a aca cyclone sound like a p50
I think they use the same choppers, just one is omnidirectional. that's what I have previously read.
@Thewoog34 i think the cyclone has more character to it , im not hating sentry(they make good sirens) . TMI(three mile island has a bunch of cyclones)
Oyster creek’s system was 100% cyclones
My pfp is one of them
Damn! She certainly packs a punch!
Uhhhh I wasn’t born yet I was born two months later
@spotandtiggerbug That's fine: The Sentry 40v2t was always better than the Cyclone and it's still being made.
Did all Cyclone 120s have dampers or was it special order?
This is a 125 but all cyclones had dampers but not many were programmed to do pulse
What’s this it’s scared of the birds
@acahurricane1275 I'll agree on that one, but I think the 40v2t in attack sounds way more ominous and powerful than a cyclone in attack.
Long test. Great video.
The best scarecrow for the birds
Still here?
Yep
I live in Hereford so apparently all 10 sirens are in this town are still here
umm this siren is not a Cyclone C-125. its just a regular 125. the C-125 Cyclone is the Taiwanese version.
Hey DL1011 can I use this audio for my mini siren ? I live in a valley were the Cyclone tone is perfect
Yes, but you need GIVE CREDITS TO HIM.
