Have this for more than a year now. Very happy with my purchase even though in the 11th month I got dead pixels then a broken panel, returned it and they replaced it with no hassle. The 1 year warranty was a savior.
@@ohai1526 Thing is if you're in a budget there nothing else out ther that compares to its specs. if it didnt work anymore after a year. it was still a deal. Im still using it now by the way

I paid USD $340 for this monitor in December 2020. Almost 2 years on, it's great! My only fault/gripe on this monitor are the poor OSD port switching capabilities requiring so many clicks. I'm used to it now but I wish there was a quick switch function.
@@Hallo81398you're better off getting a 1ms monitor if you're a competitive gamer. I don't have this monitor yet, but I do have a 21 inch 5ms monitor and I can still do very well, my reaction time is pretty good so I don't feel like I'm at a disadvantage.
@@jabantaoo5785 If the game doesn't natively support the resolution and you play in Fullscreen you get black bars. Valorant has them for example, they aren't distracting though. League supports the full resolution and you actually have a larger pov then on 1920/1080. However if you don't like this new pov you are out of luck unless you don't mind the input lag in windowed mode.
The main downside for me is the lack of a direct source switching button. Instead, you need to navigate deep into the menus :( Makes it a pain to switch between 2 setups
Maybe is the camera but you color calibration seem off:.. Try setting a custom resolution using your GPU software (AMD/Nvidia/Intel) and avoid the one provided by Windows to see if anything change. I use to have that problem on my monitor and fix it that way, maybe your monitor is also conflicting with windows drivers the same way.
Disclaimer! For gaming, although 144Hz is good, most budget 34” VA monitors comes with “NOTICEABLE” and “SIGNIFICANT” ghosting. So if you don’t need the size, opt for 27 or below monitors to avoid ghosting.
This has no significant ghosting tho. I’m familiar with the panels that you are talking about. It’s the 60hz-75hz panel that are overclocked to 144hz that has the worst ghosting. The panel on this xiaomi monitor on the other hand is a samsung VA 144hz native panel that’s also used by other known brands.
@@jayceedaily Can you try the UFO test? Using medium-high overdrive, since we want high response times when gaming. Can you include the test in the video?
@@jayceedaily That ain’t the ghosting test, you used the fps one. Try searching for “UFO” ghosting test. You can use that so that we have a measurable basis instead of relying on “your eyes” as you stated on the video.
@@jayceedaily It has nothing to do with the brand. “Budget” 34 inch high refresh rates monitors come with a ghosting trade-off. That is why I am commenting disclaimer. Also you did not present any kind of evidence relating to your “no significant ghosting.” If you are doing technical reviews please be technical about it. Many rely on these types of reviews before buying.
I've heared about VA panels having a text rendering problem, like issue with text sharpness or blurry text when scrolling - did you expirence it? Does the text looks sharp when scrolling? Wish you could create a video sample. I try to understand if the screen is good enough on that aspect (mainly programming, documentation..text)
@@Anlaki0013 If you're experiencing blurry text and responsiveness issues. Make sure your refresh rate is set to 144hz. Use high quality DP Cable as well
Mine just went dark one day. Xiaomi has no history of making monitors. I should've known better. Get a LG, Dell or Samsung. I've been happy with a LG which is much more reliable, for about the same price.
Great review man. What is the lowset brightness level of this monitor? My current monitor's (LG 24mk600m) lowest brightness is too much for me and using it at night becomes difficult.
Some questions: Is the 5ms noticeable compared to 1ms G2G? Is alt-tabbing from Valorant slower because its not native to native? Can you have another window open while playing Valorant? Maybe in windowed mode?
You can't really notice anything under 10ms. I haven't noticed alt-tabbing issues when playing Valorant. I have my resolution set to 3440x1440 on Valorant, but there are black bars on the side as you can see on the video. If you are in windowed mode, you can have other windows open

I have this monitor, but I do experience strong color banding. specially on dark content. are there anything I could do ? I kinda hate it and I am thinking about returning it. If I do return it, then what monitors do not have visible color banding ? are there any ? am I asking too much ? :D I do not know about monitors that much, but I am tech savvy so I am more interested in details (what to look for, to have minimal color banding) Mb any good settings recommendations ?
I know, it's stupid. There's a reddit post about this topic. If by chance you saw someone using ultrawide on Valorant with the whole screen filled, it's probably stretched 16:9 or zoomed in.

An ultrawide. If you are not bottlenecked by now by a single monitor, you will be in the future. It's just a question of when. The ultimate question now is what type of content are you making on video and graphics? This is a VA panel that is limited by sRGB color space, and some work might need more accurate panel that is DCI-P3 accurate

I have this monitor and like it so far, just be careful to set it to 144hz in your windows settings otherwise it will default to 50

No problem with that. I mostly deal with text and i have not experienced any issues with rendering. Its sharp even when scrolling

There are plugins/addons for your browser to change the aspect ratio of videos to avoid the black bars.

Your native resolution might handled by your gpu. You should check on amd or Nvidia software.

Your Logitech speakers are wrong placed. The one with the knobs (volume and bass) is the R (Right) channel :)
It’s revered in my settings. The cable is too short on the speaker with knobs.

Isn’t valorant supported on an ultrawide? Why are there those huge black besles on the side? Thought valorant can have a bigger res than 16:9
Ultrawide is not supported. If you put 3440x1440 it will still have black bars

if it's noticably yellow, you might have a faulty monitor
