    I retired my 2012 for a 23 trd, I loved the motor and comfort but I will say I didn’t completely fall in love with it until I upgraded suspension to icon stage 6.
    It officially is the best thing I have ever driven.

    Another great review Ben. Beautiful truck!!! People complain about the v6 in the new Tundra's. More power&torque at a lower rpm than the 5.7 v8. Not all of Fords ecoboost v6's were problematic. There are some with very high mileage. It's a no-brainer that a Toyota v6 turbo will far outlast anything Ford, Gm, or Stellantis can or will manufacture. I'll be retiring my 08 Tundra in a few, and I'm looking forward to having the new Tundra v6.

    Love the durability, love the added features on the interior, love the outside look, just can't stand the 6 cylinder when it only puts out 379 or 389hp, and only getting 14mpg. I have a 2017 Silverado with the 6.2L and that thing is like 425hp. I have 20s with 35s and a 5" lift under mine avg mpg is still 15 so they can improve there. Honestly more power and better fuel mileage and that's my next truck that's all they lack in my opinion.

      I have 2 tundras. 2010 and 2016. I love them and wanted to buy a new one this year. I held back when I heard they got away from our modern version of the indestructible Chevy 350. The 5.7 liter engine is just awesome. I thought Id never switch from the Tundra. Now I suppose I'll buy a used one only because I'm not so sure I want that turbo v6. I'm very disappointed in Toyota for getting rid of the 5.7. I guess since they were getting a million miles out of them Toyota decided they built it too good. Maybe it was hurting future sales and just warehoused them. I'll more than likely buy a 2020 or 2021 or something but after I wear that one down it's anybody guess from there. Bad move Toyota. A lot of die hard Tundra fans are very upset with you guys right now.

      @@michaelsinaloense6449 they aren't even comparable, boss bought a 21 and project manager waited for a 22 to come in, the 22 is so much nicer then the old body style, 11mpg vs 17-18, v6 twin turbo feels more get up and go imo between the 2, the 22 isn't burning off the edges of front tires like the 21 older body style. Thats a + right there

    • @calebniederhofer6529
      @calebniederhofer6529 2 роки тому +2

      The twin turbo motors put out significantly more low end power, torque and mid curve. It is also puts out considerably more torque s trigger sea level. My f150 2.7 has considerably more low end torque, then the 6.2. I am not bashing your comment, but you really are not educated on the power, and these engines. You can’t just go off numbers. It is where the power is produced, these numbers also just fly wheel, and not what the truck puts down power wise to the wheels anyways.

    Great video, but the 2022 tundra Re-design just killed it for me. I had many tundras in my life, but just switched to a f-250 and also picking up a Nissan Titan at one point. Titan/American trucks have definitely grasped alot of traction since Toyota dumped its V8. Toyota lost many customers on the truck side based on statistics at this point. However, the car sales are still very good.

    • @TundraTalk76
      @TundraTalk76 2 роки тому

      I hear ya, I traded my 2020 TRD pro army green (heavily modified) for a f-250 Long bed. I really needed a long bed truck for my business. I sure miss my green machine a lot. I do enjoy the creature comforts of the f250 lariat, but I miss the engine and transmission of the 5.7 V8 tundra. Sucker was strong as hell and never skipped a beat for 20,000 miles. New ford clicks and clanks a hell of a lot more than the 2020 tundra. If I could have kept I would have for sure.
