    $72K might seem “reasonable” in this era of high inflation, but really, pickups which were once the working man’s truck, but now you need a white collar income to afford one!

    Level kit and bigger tires make these look much better. But that can be said for most pickups now with the factory stances they come with now.

    Yes it’s worth it. 23 platinum with Westcott and avs air kit and 35 inch Toyo all terrain tires. No issues. Gas mileage worries? Don’t get a truck.

    If the reliability holds up with the new gen Tundra then Toyota will have a huge win long term. The new Gen exceeds the 2nd gen within all categories. I have had both and some folks don't want to admit it but the 3rd Generation Tundra is an improvement to an already great truck that being the Gen 2 5.7.

    Lifted trucks with larger tires definitely look nice but it’s a mileage killer. I’ve also noticed a lot of comments about how the Tundra can’t pull anything?? Not the case. Just had a friend buy a limited. Non hybrid. He’s coming from a Ram 1/2 ton diesel. With his work he recently hooked up to a 10,000 lb plus load. Said it pulled it perfectly. Actually better than his dodge diesel. Though he admitted it doesn’t get the same mileage but that’s expected. BTW he’s had numerous issues with his Ram constantly being in the shop. Then about a month ago it suddenly stalled on him about a mile from home so he pulled off on the shoulder and it caught of fire and burned up completely….

    • @SixSickCigs
      @SixSickCigs 9 місяців тому +1

      It 100% did not pull better than his dodge diesel.

    • @kross1261
      @kross1261 9 місяців тому

      @@SixSickCigs I just looked at the specs of both engines. Torque # are basically the same and the Tundra has about 120 more hp going through a 10 speed transmission instead of an eight speed for the Ram. 1600 rpm for the Ram 2400 for the tundra. Which is an advantage but the transmission and hp gain might negate that.

    Over $1700 for the Westcott Designs lift is a joke and a rip off by that dealership. I'm getting the Westcott Designs lift installed this month (waiting on the lift to be delivered) with alignment for $1200 from a highly regarded installer (per Westcott Designs) in my area. That price is out the door all taxes and fees included.

    • @Photoguy15
      @Photoguy15 8 місяців тому

      I looked this up some time ago
      Basically, if something goes wrong with the truck and they can trace it back to the lift causing it somehow, your issues won’t be covered by warranty. I would assume dealers will always try to blame user for issues instead of forming out money to fix issues.

    North Park Toyota in San Antonio is a dishonest con shop. I stupidly traded in my 2018 Tundra for a 2023 Tundra with defective brakes and air conditioning. They were so desperate to sell it to me, they delivered it to my house and tried to force me to sign an "As Is" clause even with a manufacturer's warranty. First they lied and said the brakes were new so the squealing was normal. Then they admitted that the brakes were a "known issue." I brought the Tundra in a couple of times, they wouldn't do anything. The tech offered to resurface the rotors for a fee (it's under warranty). Wow, they don't even try to address the issue for free). Toyota does not care about you. If you live in Texas, stay away from Toyota. If you live in San Antonio, especially STAY AWAY FROM NORTH PARK TOYOTA. STAY AWAY FROM ALL TOYOTA DEALERSHIPS IN SAN ANTONIO.
