Hi, So glad to see you use the tear away stabilizer. I'm embroidering a towel for a sample today. I have had the worst time using sticky tear away stabilizer and now after seeing whats going on I also prefer to use the tear away. I just find the sticky tearaway always pulls the threads of the back of my towel out and messes them up. I love the sticky tearaway but no more for towels. thank you for this video.
Love that font, so I purchased it. We are Blessed to have you share your knowledge with us. You are one of a kind, an Amazing Embroidery Artist!!! Hopefully one day we will be attending a Quilt Show, & can meet up. Woud love to meet you, & Nancy. I'm a quilter at heart, but do love to embroidery on my Baby Lock Presto2(bought used on marketplace) for my family gifts. Would you mind telling me where you got your "How to take care of Embroidery card" from? I don't need many(maybe 25) as I don't sell, but would love to include with gifts. God Bless you, & Thank you so very much!!!
Jeanette, I just found your channel today so happy I did😊I've been watching many of them today this is another winner 🏆I wanted to ask where did you get your bags from and what size are they.? New Subscriber your such an excellent teacher. Thank you
I am new at embroidery and your videos are so informative. I also love your working table. Can you tell me the name of the table and where I can find one similar to the one you are using. Can this font be used in a 5 X 7 hoop?
You can use any font within a hoop. You have to check on the size. You can also use a re-positional hoop as well. I have videos on those on the channel.
Jeanette your towels came out beautiful. I have 2 questions. I usually float my towels. I have a PE770 which my larger hoop is 5x7. When you float a towel can you also add a basting stitch? I spray the adhesive to the stabilizer. 2) How many letters can I fit in my big hoop? Would 2 of the 3 inch fit in my hoop.? Thank you for this video. You always do great work.
Thanks Lucy! I love it too. Just do a trace with the machine. Another thing you can do, is print out the template and place it on the towel. This way you have it exactly where you want it.
Where did you get the Embroidery Care Instructions Cards, please! Would love to have some & the bags that you put Towels in. I mainly do for family & friends but like to look great! TYIA
@Boricua Sewing & Crafts YOU are a very Versatile & Multi Talented Lady! Dont know where you get your energy from but if you could bottle I would definitely Buy, lol! You still put a Wealth of Information on the Card & if you ever decide that this is something you can share, I would be interested in purchasing!
Hi Jeanette, Question. I have a big problem buying fonts. When I transfer them to my brother se1900, well, they just don't work and take forever for me to download and get the letters, Now I'm wondering will purchasing fonts only work if I have embrillance to use them correctly? I'm not good at embrillance and have hesitated to purchase it, I do have the free sample and find that difficult to use for this old lady :/ thank you so much., I have learned so much from your videos on the se1900.
Hi Sylviah. You will need to use some type of embroidery software to make letters easier to use. Using the machine takes forever to do. Very time consuming. I purchase my fonts in BX format and import them into embrilliance. Here is a link to video where I show how to do this. Also remember which ever software you decided to use, there will be a learning curve. So just keep a positive mindset and stay focused. You will get it. I use water soluble as a stabilizer when I am doing free lace embroidery. Water stabilizer will not provide the stability I need for the bottom of the towel. I use it on the top of the towel so it gives the threads a lift from the fabric texture.
I have been doing dish towels and wanting to attempt bath towels. So far just giving the dish towels as gifts. People say I should expand by selling. Most tell me $10 to embroider initials like this. Does that seem competitive?
That is way to low. The initials on this towel are large. You need to make sure you are getting paid not only for your materials but your time as well.
Hi Jackie. You can use the 4 inch letter on the 5x7 hoop. I will make a video doing this on the SE1900. I have a lot of folks asking and thinking it can be done.
@@BoricuaSewingCrafts Thanks, a video would be very helpful. You are such a help. I am a first time embroidery user. When I got my machine I did one easy test design from the machine. I have yet to do another one but you are giving me the courage to try it.
How do you change the color for the dots. Embrilliance isn't showing the breakdown for the letters. I know you showed us in a video, if you could send me the link to the video or just tell me how, I would appreciate it.
@@BoricuaSewingCrafts Yes I know how to change the colors but it is not letting me choose just the dots to change (silver on video). There is usually showing the steps but there is a minus no plus sign beside the font.
I watched your video last night and I loved the towels. Most nights I watch your channel and I've learned a lot.

Would it help to use Organ no stick embroidery needles? I’m going to try them as I’m lazy LOL
the care card great ideal were do you get them love your work
Thanks I love want I do. I make my own care cards.
I hope to be able to afford a multi needle one day.
Debbie, You can do this on a single needle. The letters are 4 inches and one letter will fit in a 5x7 hoop.
its sad that I own one and barely use it.. its really sad I need to stop procrastinating

What would you do different if the towel had higher or thicker terry cloth?
I would use knockdown stitches.
Where did you get the Embroidery Care Instructions Cards, please! Would love to have some & the bags that you put Towels in. I mainly do for family & friends but like to look great! TYIA

When do you use tear away versus using water soluble? Why not use the water soluble on top and bottom?

Those towels look great! What did you use for the hold the stabilizer? Also what size bag are you using for those?

Question: what is the weight of the tearaway stabalizer you used? is it the same for the napkins? also what brand do you find works best?
Hi Needlepoint. For this I used medium tear away stabilizer. As for the napkins, I use 1.8 oz wt tear away stabilizer.
@@BoricuaSewingCrafts Thank you !

Do towels require a knockdown stitch? I’m sure the depth of the pile has something to do with it.
Hi Buba. Not all towels require knockdown stitches. If the fluff of the towel is deep then I would add it.
