Thank u! I love this style of colouring. Whenever I see a beautiful colouring page finished on Instagram that literally looks like a painting I am always amazed. I feel intimidated sometimes. I have a bad habit of comparing myself and my style to others. I just want to relax, colour, and not worry about anything. Colouring is therapeutic and sometimes I just want to keep things nice, elegant and simple. Ur flower is gorgeous! Love the detail and depth with the line shading! I love those glitter stickles I've seen u use them before and I am definitely getting those XD.

So many of us have a habit of comparing ourselves to others, not just when it comes to our artistic style. It's human nature I think. Sometimes we do just need to sit, relax, and enjoy coloring. It's so therapeutic and sometimes we need that. When I decide to do that, I usually pull out a Color it Mandala book and do some gel pen blending. The way the pens flow together and touch the paper is so super soothing. I am so glad you enjoyed the video. You should definitely get some Stickles. They are so much fun and they really make everything pop off the page!

@@PamelasPassionforPencils Yeah I always try not to get discouraged. I keep telling myself we all have our own style, and that I shouldn't give up and keep on believing in myself.
Stickles are so beautiful! They are really different from glitter pens, I'll try and see if I can purchase the ones that are available on amazon IDK why there are some supplies that are out of stock XD every time I try to look for a specific brand

This is pretty good love how you coloured the flower. Will definitely use this in my own colouring book of Enchanted Forest. Also I like how the subject of colour theory isn't mentioned too much either because a lot of people tend to go on forever about it and sometimes you just want to colour in without thinking too much about things. People have it hard enough in life as it is and as an artist, while I do feel colour theory is good to learn and it's very fun learning about new colour combos, it can be a tad overwhelming too and a colouring book is there for us to unwind with, to givr us something to do without thinking that everything needs to be perfect.

Hi Pamela, thanks for all you do to help colorists at every level. I know your videos have helped and inspired me to keep moving forward with my colored pencils art and skills. I really hope you make a Prismacolor swatch cards by color family. I recently bought the Prismacolor 150 set from a link on your UA-cam channel, as well as a pencil sharpener. I'm not yet all that familiar with Prismacolor pencils. I used Polychromos pencils for many years. There's a huge difference between the two brands! First thing I saw was the Extremely light pressure needed (preferred for layering) with Prismacolor pencils. What an adjustment that alone was to discover. Huge difference. Thanks for all you do. Pray all is well for you and your family during this holiday seasons.

You will definitely find that the prismacolors are going to be quite a bit different than your Polychromos if that is what you’re used to. They are going to go down much smooshier and blend together with ease. In no time at all you will be used to them. Enjoy!

Unpopular opinion there’s nothing wrong with flat coloring. If I decide it looks good and I’m done, that’s all that matters. I’m not spending all day on it when I have other things to do. Flat coloring implies my art should always please others over myself. And I’m unlearning people pleasing. Sometimes I’ll add more, but I usually like my coloring to be, not sloppy necessarily but faster. The color is down, I’m happy. When children color, they keep it simple. But adults aren’t happy with their art unless they sacrifice an arm and a leg.

Don’t forget you won’t always be able to get great results with very budget stuff. The paper in cheap colouring books isn’t as good as the better quality ones so do not feel frustrated if you can’t get the same results as someone using quality paper no matter how hard you try.

I need to get a better coloring book. The ones I have are not good for this.

"A little bit...", "A little bit...", "A little bit..." Very nice tutorial, but I grew a little bit weary of hearing "a little bit" - lol :-D

You talk too much … repeating so many times .
Can you just colour and illustrate and say the necessary with your actions !
