@@kerynokeeffe9133 My pleasure Keryn - thank you for watching. Your support is so meaningful to me. It took me forever, haha. I can see there is a lot of work in this journal, trying to connect it to your friend and the theme and it's sooooo very special. What a treasure the book is and what a treasure you are Kathleen 🍎💚
I love your journals they always look like a real published book. There so neat and organized. I use some of your ideas in my journals I make. Thank you for sharing this beautiful journal she's a lucky lady.
Kathleen, what a lovely personal journal you've made for your friend. I'm sure she is thrilled with your efforts. I love the vintage ephemera you included as well as those wonderful Carl Larsson paintings. Thanks for sharing the journal with us. It was a treat to see it. ETA: Oh, oh, I forgot to mention how special the apple leaf printing throughout the book is.
Beautiful, as always. Thanks for sharing, Kathleen! There are always a lot of new ideas to take from your journals and I have sooo much learned from your videos, they are a great inspiration! I especially like the flip-pocket, never seen before😊
Once again, a beautiful and creative journal! I snapped a number of screenshots of your ideas that I want to remember. I especially liked your peekaboo pockets attached to the flap of an envelope.
As always, your work is exquisite. My dad was from Michigan, and he loved apples. I used to make an apple cake for his birthday every year- so this journal really touched me. I may use some of your ideas and make one of my own! ❤️
What a cool book. A beautiful gift for your friend. You have put so much heart into this masterpiece. I’m trying to make a junk journal too. I love your idea of leaf prints. I might also add some apple prints like the kind we all probably did in grade school. I bet she will treasure this. Thanks for sharing . ❤️😊

Hi, Lovely! You are the very best! Everyone else pales in your midst. Could you please tell me where you source your vintage ephemera from? If it's a secret I perfectly understand. I found most vintage ephemera are only available to those living in the United States. Your friend is so accomplished. On other matters, I have completed the journal I was working on, but not done the video of it yet. May be in a week I will do it. I have also started on another smaller one 😊. Lots of love - Sharmini
@@sharminikamalikajayawarden7541 Aw thanks so much Sharmini! You are so sweet! I usually buy ephemera from the thrift stores and antique stores, but it’s very hit and miss. When I first started collecting, it really seemed like there was so little to choose from - I remember that frustration. I also buy from sellers on Etsy, but yes, they do prefer to send to the US and that must be doubly frustrating. I also now try to go to estate sales - people who have died and their children are selling the stuff off. Most people who attend are not interested in paper stuff. I also try to go to the source and ask my friends who are cleaning out their closets and drawers or cleaning out the house of their parents. I find that when I let many people know what I do and what kinds of papers that I would like, they are often willing to help me find old papers. I now have a little army of friends looking out for me, haha. Congrats on finishing your project and starting another!! WELL DONE!
