- After months of anticipation, News 13 has confirmed Charlotte the stingray is not pregnant.
Brenda Ramer, the owner of Aquarium & Shark Lab by Team ECCO on Main Street in Hendersonville confirmed the news to News 13 exclusively after the aquarium posted information on its Facebook page that Charlotte had a reproductive disease that "negatively impacted her reproductive system."

This smells truly fishy; pun intended. When the owner said: "And I can't control biological processes." I was like WHAT?!?! Because that makes sense to say? That remark only heightened my suspicions of what has been REALLY going on there... We may never know.... We DO know they made a ton of money thanks to "the pregnant stingray".
~I also heard on another news clip from WLOS tonight, that their Team ECCO website claimed to be affiliated or endorsed by some major organization but when the reporter reached out to verify this from that other business, their rep said there was never any such endorsement from them. This only added to my suspicions that all is not honest from that business....
Hoax.
I've literally been saying this the whole time it is a hoax for them to try to get more visitors and make more money and go viral and the people gave that to them
So she's just chonky? (Well, now they're saying she's sickly. ): ) I'm concerned about the bamboo sharks' aggression towards Charlotte. They can't just be letting those things beat up on that poor ray. Especially if she's ill. Poor lil sea ravioli. ):

So did the "pups" dissolve in her belly or what? And yes, I've heard of the body absorbing the fetus.(I didn't know it would be possible in Stingrays or is it?)
She never was. The zoo overfed her, and the people reading the ultrasounds were not qualified. It's been reproductive disease the whole time.
I’m not 100% sure but from what I’ve heard she wasn’t actually pregnant at all at any point. It seems likely that they misread the ultrasound

maybe the pregnancy fails due to different species and the fetus was absorbed 😢
If it was due to a different species the sperm wouldn’t be able to fertilise the egg- because the DNA is too different.
